Filming again! This time, capturing our abra trip up and down the Dubai Creek. My grandchildren are going to suffer hours and hours of home-made video in the future...

Some say their music was the real cause of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Going back further, others whisper quietly that it was their sound which inspired the Rolling Stones’ to record "Exile on Main Street." I have even heard it said that there 1994 masterpiece called "Let’s work it out, it will cost less in the long run" was the driving force behind the move towards the resolution of legal disputes through mediation.

Whatever the true record of history is, all that matters is that they have all posted bail in time to be here tonight. With Dave Gedge on Drums, Peter Stojackovic and Mark Colavechia on Guitar, Andrew "slappin da bass, man" McLeod on Bass, and Chris Jackson and Tiffany Hambrook on Vocals, this collection of billable hour giants can only be described as the most awesomest thing in the history of the recording of awesomest things.

They live by the words – "Factum if they can’t take a joke!"

Pick any number of words that rhyme with salute. Insert it in this sentence: "If it moves _______ it; if it doesn't move give it a nudge, then _______ it". Quite likely the rhyming word here was "shoot". But I can't be sure that was the only one.

A while ago Lake Cargelligo worked out that all those older folk with their fancy binoculars, long lenses and spotting scopes had both time and money on their hands. Out of nothing they created a thing out of birdwatching with some good promotional work and on a minimum of infrastructure. Now those funds leftover from the optics leak into the local economy. Good for them! And good for the environment too because now the birds are a cash cow; so too is the Nature that attracts and supports them.

Heading South, the poorer cousins at Rankin's Springs have put together their own low rent scheme. The thing is, it works. You won't see any images of birds from those nominated sites here. It rained too much and neither twitchers nor tweeters wanted to be out in it. Too bad really, because they've got great natural assets here. Oh well, I'll just have to return when time and weather permit.

I really like my manual focus Pentax lens some days...

Shi Tao is serving a 10-year sentence in China on charges of "leaking state secrets abroad." Shi worked as an editor for Dangdai Shang Bao (Contemporary Trade News), a newspaper in the city of Changsha, in Hunan Province. He also wrote essays calling for political reform that were posted on overseas news Web sites that are banned in China.

He was arrested in November 2004 for posting notes from a directive issued by China's Propaganda Department that instructed the media how to cover the 15th anniversary of the military crackdown in Tiananmen Square. Shi's appeal was rejected in June. His mother has filed for a review of the appeal, charging "serious procedural defects."

Shi's imprisonment highlights the Chinese government's intense efforts to control the Internet, the only alternative to China's officially sanctioned print and broadcast media. The government monitors Internet content, blocks Web sites, requires bloggers to register their identities, and solicits the help of companies doing business in China. In this case, the U.S. Internet giant Yahoo helped authorities identify Shi through his e-mail account.

GUESS WHO DID NOT SHOW UP IN COURT TODAY?

Steven E. Cox ,who was to be sentenced in the case of The Arrow Fund cat "Simon", did not show up in court today.

Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Josh Schneider will notify us of a new court date as soon the authorities locate him. Keep your fingers crossed. Police arrested Mr. Cox based on allegations of him throwing "Simon" from a second story balcony. Simon has been under the care of The Arrow Fund since Fall of 2012. Simon is still being treated. The impact of hitting the ground from the second story and landing on his left side caused horrific damage which resulted in several surgeries . This picture is of "Simon" this morning at Blue Pearl - he came in for follow up radio-graphs. "Simon" is a sweetheart that has been through a lot. His spirits have always been great ! Thank you to his foster mom Tammy ! I would also like to thank fellow Arrow Fund Board Member- Attorney Kathryn Callahan for going with me this morning to court. It is our hope that Mr. Cox will be located very soon. If you would like to donate to The Arrow Fund - please go to www.thearrowfund.org The Arrow Fund has many ongoing cases of torture, abuse and neglect. As always , we appreciate your support . ~Rebecca~The Arrow Fund~

leden z kraje léta bez pohlazení,

Janem Křtitelem zhaslé z noci světlo,

v další konec světa jsme odsouzení.
