This is Seneca Lake, it is to the west of where I live. We spent the day there when the In-Laws came for a visit.

On an early spring day, a slow moving bank of clouds rolls in over the expanses of Seneca Lake to soon cover the harbor and town of Watkins Glen, NY
This is a picture of Seneca Rocks when we first got there.We went to the visitors center and got to take a hike to the top of the rock which took up three hours to do its a long hike but worth it when you get to the top . We to take some pictures of the town which looked like a model of the town from up there and it was beautiful but very windy. Needless to say we were pretty tired when we got back down from the hike and from driving that we just went our motel room and rest for the rest of the evening.

El Séneca parece ser que va a pasar la noche en tierras mañas y a la intemperie. Aprovechando el chivatazo de Ramiro me he acercado a pillarlo y mira por donde he podido hacer un triplete justo a tiempo de que se acabara la luz. Ya me perdonaréis un poco la calidad de la foto pero entre la luz y que también tenia detrás de mi a un "miembro" y una "miembra" del CNP esperando una respuesta de que cojones estaba haciendo no he podido hacer mucho más. Tras las aclaraciones oportunas y sin mayor contratiempo cada uno a los suyo.
No hace falta que diga que trenes son verdad??

Seneca Falls was incorporated as a village in Seneca County, New York from 1831 to 2011. It is now considered a hamlet in the Town of Seneca Falls. Before the village was disolved it had a population of 6,681.
Seneca Creek State Park. Maryland. The Smithsonian Castle is built from stones that were milled here.
Last night in Poolesville a powerful storm came through and wouldn't you know, the timing was perfect for crazy looking skies at sunset. The is the old (mid-1800s) Seneca Stone Barn at Woodstock Park, just outside of town. The skies were even crazier looking in the opposite direction. Maybe that picture comes later.

Bellows taped, reinstalled, back fit to the standard. This is about full draw for this bellows. Gonna have to do, no budget for new right now. To do: Lensboard retainers (have a strip of brass at the ready), grind a new glass, and a couple lensboards...
On our last visit to Niagara Falls, my wife and I had wanted to visit the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino. The colors and lighting had really attracted my attention as we were driving by and I knew it would be a great place for photography.
Sadly, we never made it very far past these front doors. The smell from people smoking was so strong and thick that we felt just being in the building was unbearable. I had asked if there was a no smoking section of the casino and was told that there was but it was located all the way in the back of the building. So, if we wanted to go to the non smoking section, we had to first walk through the entire smoke filled casino. We decided to just leave and I had to be satisfied with just getting some exterior shots of this colorful resort and casino.
I don't know why smoking is so prevalent almost everywhere outside of New York City. We have some very tough laws here controlling it, making things more comfortable and pleasant for everyone. I keep hoping these laws will start catching on around the rest of America.

We traveled to Seneca Falls last July for one of Stu's gigs. While there, a nice gentleman told me about this gate and I had to check it out.
