The courageous few Zimbabweans who dared to stand up to President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF party in the election campaigns of 2008 were persecuted, assaulted and in many cases brutally murdered. Should I Forgive? is based on the experiences of a young wife and mother, Nyasha Gapa, who was raped and beaten for daring to campaign for Morgan Tsvangirai’s opposition party MDC (Movement for Democratic Change). While many of the details of the story have been changed to protect Nyasha’s family and friends from further violence, all the events related in this tragic story, from the sadistic beating of Nyasha’s husband to their flight to South Africa, their exploitation by a white farmer, the racist persecution the refugees experienced there and the catastrophic fire, actually happened. Should I Forgive? is a heartbreaking story of staggering courage, endurance and love.

Yves Drillet is a young upcoming photographer born in the nineties, studying at the Fine Art Institute of Rennes, France. Even if his photography follows Larry Clark, Ari Marcopoulos or Ed Tempelton footsteps, Yves Drillet gives us a fascinating documentary on his contemporaries. Beyond the portraits, the parties or some empty landspaces, the photography of this artist reveals above all the strong and sincere vision of a 19 year-old boy's modern world.

Unlike a nearby kiosk with more recent (and thus much cheaper) comics where I was getting elbowed in the boobs and shoved and some uber uptight twit wouldn't move his stuff. However the question still remains as to whether he will make it home at all. Written by James Watson’s nephew, A Teenager’s War is an inspiring but down-to-earth record of the lives of young soldiers and the war that defined their generation.

this is the fortieth (and final) page of a photocopied forty page publication of rants by an unknown person. a stack of them was left at ryerson university in downtown toronto. from the first sentence on the first page, i was hooked - i hope you are, too.
