"Today's Etiquette" by Lillian Eichler was written in 1941 but its ideals still hold true.
This etiquette book will school you in the fine art of properly making introductions, setting the table for an elegant meal, writing thank-you letters, extending wedding invitations, and much more. It also includes sections with special etiquette tips for teenagers and children. The book is chock-full of useful advice that is still applicable in modern everyday situations.
In addition to being a handy guide, the book also can be an entertaining read when it comes to a few more quaint and antiquated customs, such as the use of calling cards:
"A caller does not, on any occasion, carry in his card and present it like a billet d'admission. Visiting cards are placed on the card tray offered by the butler, or on the card tray near the door if there is no butler."

Designed by Chicago architect Howard Van Doren Shaw in 1917, this neighborhood was created industrialist Clayton Mark. It was a planned community, middle class, with the goal of providing affordable housing, retail and a school. Unfortunately, industry exploded in the area. Refineries, steel, chemical plants. The community is surrounded on all sides. Square blocks have been demolished, the retail cornerstone is abandoned and crumbling (that's where I shot these photos.) Most of the houses are falling apart. Those families that remain, mostly Hispanic, are doing their best to maintain what they have. Difficult, since much is abandoned.
Many are townhouses - one side of the house is abandoned, rotting, roof caved in, while on the other side of the common wall, is a nicely maintained home. Sad, really.

Don’t try to own or claim beauty (look but don’t touch) - just appreciate it.
Try to create beauty wherever you go.

JimKitzmiller As self-help advocates we tend to overwhelm ourselves by placing the weight of the world on our shoulders. What can we do about it? Meditation helps for sure. Simplification might be the answer.
My favorite section on the record (so far) : "...this record was produced for your own personal use, to go with you own your own exciting journey. To play this record for a group will be of only temporary help. Make sure you have your own personal copy to play again and again..."
In other words: "We make more money if everyone buys a copy."
Okay, Double-U Tee Eff. This is the 'Sexual Help' section of a Books-A-Million, we just happened to be walking through when I saw.....Psychology? What kind of message are they trying to send?

Kakra Singhi
Pistacia integerrima (Kakra Singhi) is a species of pistachio tree, known as Zebrawood. This herb grows in Asia. Pistacia Integerrima or Kakar Singhi is used for a variety of uses. As a medicinal herb, it is an effective remedy for cough, fever, vomiting, diarrhea and asthma. It has applications in other industries too such as timber, fodder and dye. It's tree is also used as a rootstock for pistachios' cultivation.
