Taken with a Canon S3

My back yard has a shed in it, made out of what I've referred to as "particle board on steriods." It was unfinished, and needed to be painted before winter rains. I decided to paint it primarily using flat exterior latex paint hat I found at mis-mixed/dump stock bins at paint stores. The west side and the southwest part are in a color that is called "gobi desert" that I had no idea of what it might be. As I painted the west side, I realized that the paint is very nearly the same color as my house. Wow. Neat. So I used it to paint the stucco patches around my newly-installed side door.

For the two sides visible from my yard, I mixed the neutrals that I bought, with blue and two greens that I had on hand. I had thought about doing a sort of Mondrian pattern, but discovered that I didn't have a lot of painter's tape, and what I had was narrow, so I ended up freehanding it and making it up as I went.

The artwork is by the artist Yoko Ikeno. I think this is one of my favorite entries, so far.

Our souls thirst to express what is within our minds and hearts. When we are silenced by outside forces, though we may not be able to speak our minds, who we are will always shine through; somehow.

I always am struck by how people think in order to be educated, you have to be taught in a classroom, devoid of any and all creativity. While I understand the importance of certain subjects, I think more kids learn better when they are allowed to express themselves in any way. Often times thats how you learn too.

also: they will cancel plans last-minute CONSTANTLY. It's out of their hands.

Some of the beautiful graffiti in one of Gastown's alleys. I think Vancouver has the most inspiring underground art I have ever seen.

I overheard someone at work say that and it inspired me so much that I felt the need to write it down and write an entry about it. The little birds are Kurt Halsey's illustrations.

i miss our vios :-(

And yes, I will still choose to work abroad as an OFW, for the time being unless a miracle happens. Blogged

A change of scarf position. Having fun with this scarf.

VIP #15-34. The skin is from Atomic (#20) -- they have this skin in both male and female varieties -- and the hair is from Stuff (#21). Most of the clothing is from the Mouse*Trap gift (#34), though the t-shirt from Naive (#31) stayed on because nothing replaced it as a jacket layer, which is why I look neither well put together nor so ridiculously eclectic that people stumbling on this picture would know it's not just me trying to do fashion. So in case there's any doubt, I just unpack the stuff and see what happens. Some results are cute, others are hilarious, and some like this just look a bit odd. Anyway, the only stinker in the batch is the random beanbag. The store I'm returning to for purchases is Genesis (#32). I really like the watch they contribute; the provide both male and female sizes.

I cast a spell every now and then.

A single wave transforms a transparent liquid

to aqua blue, then lavender

or renders it invisible. Magic.

Still I'm ready to fight.

The walls caved in

Tonight.

Theres no one here but me.
