Taken with a Canon S3

The artwork is by the artist Yoko Ikeno. I think this is one of my favorite entries, so far.

Our souls thirst to express what is within our minds and hearts. When we are silenced by outside forces, though we may not be able to speak our minds, who we are will always shine through; somehow.

I always am struck by how people think in order to be educated, you have to be taught in a classroom, devoid of any and all creativity. While I understand the importance of certain subjects, I think more kids learn better when they are allowed to express themselves in any way. Often times thats how you learn too.

also: they will cancel plans last-minute CONSTANTLY. It's out of their hands.

Some of the beautiful graffiti in one of Gastown's alleys. I think Vancouver has the most inspiring underground art I have ever seen.
