I love my dreads and dreadfully to some, my very own hair gives others insight into a world of wig culture and couture, for those that lack vision....here it is, you can still have your very own dreads (art incarnate) and still be a working actress. So here are the many faces of At@ri Harikari... the evolution started long ago, now its just plain Atari Harikari Revolution...
They say it is better to have love and lost than to have never loved
Whom ever “They” are should try it
The pain of having someone you love walk out on you is like taking a dagger to the heart
“Better” is a relative term
Your heart lies there, bleeding, dieing
It shrivels into a cold, black, emotionless vessel
Fueling your anger with every beat
You feel scared, hurt, but mostly you feel alone
Over time your heart begins to heal, but still weighs heavy
On the outside you smile, pretending to be okay
On the inside you feel only sadness
You become the protector
Always remaining cognizant of the pain you bear
Vowing to never let your heart suffer again
Often times to the detriment of caring and love
Then one day, out of the blue
You let your guard down
The chink in your armor shows
Someone proves to you that you can love…again
The pain and bitterness you have been desperately clinging to escapes
The scars remain, but closure seeps in
You realize it is okay to let your heart shine as bright as the sun.

"I want freedom, the right to self-expression, everybody's right to beautiful, radiant things."
- Emma Goldman
Just a peek in one of my journals. It's my informal/private journal...I use it to document my life...things I need to remember...lists I write...gluing in cards I've received, daily ephemera, all life's little scraps, notes etc. I've been spending more time journaling here than in my main Art Journal lately...and more time on scrap-and papercraft projects lately...I think I am going through a fickle phase...

My back yard has a shed in it, made out of what I've referred to as "particle board on steriods." It was unfinished, and needed to be painted before winter rains. I decided to paint it primarily using flat exterior latex paint that I found at mis-mixed/dump stock bins at paint stores, and then tinted it with a blue and two greens that I had on hand. The east side of the shed is where the sofa usually goes, as it has no back of its own, and the shed will support the pillows.
I had thought about doing a sort of Mondrian pattern, but discovered that I didn't have a lot of painter's tape, and what I had was narrow, so I ended up freehanding it and making it up as I went.

Sonya took it herself while as she waited for me to finish my errands. It was after school on February 28, 2008.
It makes me happy to see her interest in photography. Here we connect. After she showed her pics to me she told me I take "weird" photos. She likes them. But she tends to like weird.

My back yard has a shed in it, made out of what I've referred to as "particle board on steriods." It was unfinished, and needed to be painted before winter rains. I decided to paint it primarily using flat exterior latex paint hat I found at mis-mixed/dump stock bins at paint stores. The west side and the southwest part are in a color that is called "gobi desert" that I had no idea of what it might be. As I painted the west side, I realized that the paint is very nearly the same color as my house. Wow. Neat. So I used it to paint the stucco patches around my newly-installed side door.
For the two sides visible from my yard, I mixed the neutrals that I bought, with blue and two greens that I had on hand. I freehanded sorta cabana stripes on the southeast, and random layered rectangles on the east.
