Felt like this could be a good addition for the original.

I do not know if I can get the message across though.

Anyways. Here's another try.

Listen to good music, kids. And get your game right. Step up.

Art is both creation and recreation. Of the two ideas, I think art as recreation or as sheer play of the human spirit is more important.

Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

- Samuel Butler

I took this photograph at a really weird and fun antique warehouse near Frederick, MD and I was enamored by the tones on the neck of the violin. It thought it was just begging to be turned into black and white.... and maybe played too...

I actually didn't mean to take this photo, but it came out awesome.

Mandala flowers are probably my favorite. For those who don't know, it is the flower of life.

Today feels perfect for this! I always loved the mix of playful shapes and cool colors—the deep teal, the bright navy, and that lovely touch of green in the velvet sleeves—it just makes me happy. This outfit? It's a whole mood. A little bit whimsical, a lot comfortable, definitely fun.

I live near Seoul, where the fashion scene is so vibrant, it’s amazing! Sometimes you feel like you need to be bold to stand out, but really, everyone here finds their own rhythm. I grew up in a house full of music and color, my father a traditional Korean drummer and my mother a textile artist—so maybe this love for texture and feeling isn't so surprising after all. It’s about expressing something that feels right inside!

I remember once thinking to wear something like this would be too much attention. Now? I find the smiles are nice, but it’s worth it just to feel how good it looks on me. And sometimes—the best part is seeing someone else smile back and feeling a little bit of shared joy in the world.

This is because of a bizarre quirk of Flikr : my work is (perhaps) more suitable for adult consumption but I don't have and never have had any porn.

First I asked permission. Then the bus appeared on the horizon behind me here. I had about ten seconds to shoot before Ms. K's bus showed up and she had to split. I got two pics.

Tacheles - A wonderful and unique place. An art centre and nightclub that opened in East Berlin after the Wall came down. A large building on Oranienburger Straße, Mitte. The exterior of the building was damaged from shelling in World War II, and much of it was never repaired. Huge, colorful graffiti-style murals are painted on the exterior walls, and grafitti and sculptures inside.

In its early days, Tacheles provided both housing and work space for its artist residents.

The lease with the property owner ends in 2008 and the future of the art house is uncertain.

Yesterday, in the midst of the hell of the final days of packing, I took a couple hours to go to the National Gallery of Art to see the "Paris in Transition" Photography show. I bought a book from the exhibition and it is terrific. Enjoying some more sun and a few minutes of great reading about Eugène Atget.

Drawing upon the significant holdings of the National Gallery of Art in 19th- and early 20th-century photographs of Paris, this exhibition celebrates the visual riches of the city and the tensions of its portrayal as both a modern capital and a nostalgic, perhaps even magical place. Beginning with early photographs made in the 1840s and 1850s by William Henry Fox Talbot, Gustave Le Gray, Charles Nègre and others, the exhibition highlights the central role Paris played in the emergent French school of photography. Photographs by Charles Marville, Louis-Émile Durandelle and others illuminate the urban transformation of Paris under Napoleon III. The gallery's strong collection of photographs by Eugène Atget reveals the photographer's uncanny eye for the details of daily Parisian life. The exhibition closes with works by such artists as André Kertész, Germaine Krull, Ilse Bing, and Brassaï, who were energized by the city's dynamic modernist culture in the 1920s.

Sorry to be away so long. I am just now trying to catch up for the past week after packing, loading the truck and driving 14 hours, all in one day, to then unload the truck and begin the unpacking. Today, I am out of the dark ages now that the house has cable access... Hello Again, Flickr Bits!!!!
