Disbelief
The prophets of all religions came
to each of the good people of Earth.
They knelt, some with hands clasped,
others with heads touching the floor.
All wept,
for their prayers
were the harshest
ever prayed.
They had been asked to come
back into time,
all at one time,
to these hard,
devilish days
to pray
that each one of us might
stop believing in prayer
and in the Creator,
so that Creation
would be saved
from belief.

Taking a little break in the action from the slew of wedding photos I've been putting up here to upload this. After I shot the wedding last Saturday, we went to our skate warehouse for a bonfire/shred session for my buddy's birthday. When we went to throw more wood on the fire, we found this door which made for some pretty cool portrait opportunities. I usually don't take self portraits beside random assed photos of myself with my phone, but I kinda liked how this one turned out! :)

This was done with Prismacolor colored pencils. My goal is to do at least one creative thing daily for the next year.
I've always enjoyed coloring and Prismacolors are really nice pencils to work with. Very different from the pencils I remember as a child.

Asked whether he was Poseidon and Neptune, he prefers the former. The shell cod-piece is a clever touch.

"Listen...you know those days when you get the mean reds?"
"The mean reds? You mean like the blues?"
"No... the blues are because you're getting fat or because it's been raining too long. You're just sad, that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?"
"Sure."
"When I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump into a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away."
~~Holly and Paul (Fred), Breakfast at Tiffany's
I was trying to think of something different to do for tonight's shots but after a day of work and a long evening of packing up household goods, I just did not have the energy to be creative and unique. Hopefully, I will more time and energy to commit to you my photos.
