Mono County Search & Rescue just on scene to help a victim down with a heart attack just as the helicopter showed up. Luck and EMT and nurse came by on their hike when he went down. They stabilized him and another hiker had a sat phone to call he the rescue squad. The victim was about 1.5 miles in the backcountry from the trailhead at about 10,000 feet of elevation. It was a great team effort to get him into the helicopter and off to the Mammoth Lakes Hospital.
This all took place on the eastern side of the Sierra's in the Little Lakes Basin along Rock Creek. Heart Lake where the stream from Mono Pass and Ruby Lake come down and into Heart Lake.

RIP Leonard Nimoy.
I was not into the television series but loved the movie series. I remember as a kid I would watch the show “In Search Of” that Leonard narrated. It created such a passion for the unexplained mysteries of the world.
We lost a great person to the world, but he is in the stars now…

Daisy got the new kitty some little lightweight plastic balls to play with a while back. And he goes absolutely nuts over them, batting them from one end of the house to the other. Problem is, in no time at all, he'll have knocked them all out of reach under the furniture....and somebody has to go around with a flashlight and a stick to flush them out. Good thing I've got my trusty golden retriever on duty, isn't it? 😉
Yeah, and you may as well go ahead and say what you're thinking.

A Coast Guard Chopper patrols over the Brigantine Inlet searching in vain for a missing sailboarder. False Alarm.
Searched all morning for these - everything looked too overgrown. Then just as I put the camera away (I recommend this ploy) up popped 5 fine specimens. Ophrys apifera

..... by Simon Gudgeon at Sculptures by the Lakes, Pallington Lakes in Dorset, taken with a Sony F717 (with a Hoya R72 infrared filter on) in May a few years ago. My main IR camera (Canon 5D) tried to commit suicide that day, so the trusted Sony was pulled out and it certainly didn't let me down!!

Technical Details: SOOC..Does a complete static scene would favor a highly clean sharp ISO set @ 50? So I try it too....ha ha. Technically, many deem no differences between the benchmark of iso 100 to iso 50, those number game fair each other pretty well here on the Canon EOS 5d mark2. This probably a terms to mark individual camera's manufacture look superiorly different with terminology.
