Shot with a Pentax MV, 200 ISO, On a Lomography color 100 film. I used a Vivitar Orange filter for this one.
A side section of the Middle Ages Brewery, the longest continuously running full production brewery in Syracuse. It has been locally owned and operated since 1994. Now a little bit of history: The building was built in 1935 and was previously the Sealtest Ice Cream Company factory until the Kraft Company closed it in 1987. Located at 120 Wilkinson Street in Syracuse, NY. (1633)
Water tower at the Breyer's yogurt factory (fomerly owned by Sealtest, and then Kraft...) in North Lawrence, NY.
She was a very talented and glamourous actor and singer of course, but I never fully appreciated her until I heard her on her old radio show. She was very funny, off the cuff and even with, sometimes dopey, written, dialog, as she chatted and sometimes traded barbs with Hollywood's biggest actors and comedians. I don't mean to gush. Her shows are worth a listen. You can download them for free on InternetArchive.org, or a lot of places, Type her name and sealtest, into the searchbox.
Her episode with Van heflin became a kind of famous, or infamous incident and the only live episode ever attemted on the show.
Any of you old codgers remember Sealtest ice cream?? It was huge in the 50's, even had an ice cream shop in Disneyland!! Although it was popular thru the 70's in certain areas of the country(by that time it had been sold to Kraft foods) , it never came close to it's heydays in the 50's and 60's. I think it still can be had in Canada.
Always like these old ads on the sides of buildings.

This one-story, concrete block structure was probably built around 1940. It was a neighborhood store known as "The Rate." The building on a corner lot has a front gable roof with a stepped parapet wall. On the side of the building (east facade) that is exposed to the street is a faded wall advertisement. In 2020, when this photograph was taken the building was undergoing renovation. The building is in the Bluffton Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing structure.

Mayor David N. Cicilline and U.S. Treasury Undersecretary Dan Tangherlini joined state housing partners to congratulate the staff of OpenDoors, a nonprofit in Providence whose mission is to strengthen communities by providing support services to the formerly incarcerated, at their groundbreaking ceremony for their new facility in the former historic Sealtest Ice Cream Factory in Silver Lake. The project, RI’s first large-scale development created to support Rhode Islanders returning to the community after incarceration, received nearly $1.8M from federal Tax Credit Exchange Program (TCEP) funds provided under the Recovery Act.
Present-day Boulevard Burger & Brew restaurant, located in a well-restored midcentury fast-food restaurant. Local reporting indicates that this location was originally home to a Sealtest Ice Cream factory and retail operation, but the BB&B people have restored it to closely resemble its days as a Kelly's Jet System Hamburgers location (circa the late 1950s). A beautiful treat, especially by night.
My dad has worked here for 30 plus years....Now the plant is closing.....So thought i would try and get a couple of shots before the lights go out forever. 30 Second Exposure, F/7.1, some light painting on the Breyers Silo
