Another of those photographs which came into my possession from a fellow enthusiast who has now sadly passed away. Owing to the latter I have no information as to where he took it, though living in Stoke on Trent, his family would most likely have been on holiday in the Isle of Wight, or he was engaged on a camp with his air cadet squadron.
WDL 219 was a very smart looking Bedford SB1 from the fleet of Seaview Motor Services. Their distinctive livery sits well (imho) on the Duple 'Super Vega' coachwork,

Another one of those old industrial areas of the city that has been turned into a living area. This is Saltsjökvarn, the old mill is nowdays Elite Hotel and the new apartment buildings around is built during the last 5 years. The view is over the inner parts of the archipelago and the island of Djurgården.

My great, great grandfather James Anderson built Seaview and ran a successful bootmaker business supplying the fishing industry.
I do love a good sign and the The Seaview Transportation Company has some nice new ones installed welcoming visitors to their new enginehouse in Davisville. For a tiny little 7 mile long terminal and switching road their image game sure is on point. Allegedly their two EMD end cab switchers which will both be in service soon are going to get a paint job similar to that displayed here. If that comes true they will surely become railfan magnets as attractive as they'll be. Good things are happening on the railroads in the smallest state!

I noticed what look like ribbons in the sea, tracing out a meandering path. I think they're water currents indicating tidal flow.
