In 1984 I took a trip with some friends (who formerly lived there) to Israel. About a week ago, I bought a scanner and am now able to upload my collection of Kodachrome slides. This is one of my favorites. Not because it is such a great photograph, but because of the subject matter. The Scripture, which serves as the title for this image, tells the story of what happened at, or very near, this very place. The body of water is the Sea of Galilee. The perimeter of the Sea of Galilee is, to me, the most beautiful area in all of Israel.
Partly because of the learning curve associated with a new scanner, and an updated version of Photoshop, it took me more than 2 hours to process this single image. I have literally thousands of Kodachrome slides from the span of more than 3 decades. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.
Dragons are animals that appear in Eastern and Western mythology. In the Buddhist scriptures, the Dragon is one of the eight sets of Heavenly Dragons, dragon images are represented for legendary mascots with extraordinary strength. In some Asian countries, dragons are described as having a snake body, fish scales, lion’s mane, deer horn, without wings but can fly.
