The background is a 6.5 foot tall plywood wall that blocks off an abondoned lot and is always covered in big movie promotions. It's located on Wilshire Blvd in West Los Angeles...

I talked with Matt and Scott Beale about how happy I am that Flickr is still free, and I was very pleased with how generous Yahoo was to let us use it without ads. They looked at me strangely and asked if I had a Pro account, and I said I did, it was a gift from Stewart. Then they told me that's why I didn't see any ads. Ahhhh. I guess when I point to something on Flickr y'all see ads? Uh huh. Oh. Kay. Now I'm slightly less pleased than before.
That's weird - I sent one of my free gift Pro Accounts to Dave Winer, but I don't know if he ever actually got it.
Hey, Flickr I want my gift Pro Account back!

These Ogham stones were moved from their original sites in Baile an Reannaigh and Baile an Istínigh in mid 19th C by Lord Ventry.
Ogham (pronounced Ohm) is an ancient linear script, an alphabet, probably dating from the 2nd- 4th century, and was the first known written language of Ireland . The Ogham letters consisted of a series of notches carved on a stone or piece of wood.

Some people call this "tree graffiti" and even art. It's better described as "Arboreal Script" by some.
Regardless, I like it for it's historical significance. Usually the result of young love, it often last longer than the affection. I've even found some crossed-out!
It rained, poured, then rained again. We braved the weather, joined the queue that snaked around Fort Canning, tiptoed through the mud, roughed our voices and sacrificed our shoes. All these for an amazing concert by The Script.
Now for something completely different! I went to see The Script in Cincinnati on Saturday, so I thought I would post some of these pics to break up the constant stream of France pictures.
