Gene Hazleton is one of my favorite Flintstone artists and he did almost the whole run of comic strip that ran in daily papers across the country during the 60's. i love Gene for the fact that he added so much detail to this world that a limited animation budget only hinted at. Some of the best things about his run on this strip are the different clothes worn by the cast and the plethora of interesting supporting characters he included, not to mention a fleshed out and intricate Bedrock like you've never seen before. I decided to commemorate this underappreciated artist by coloring and texturing a few of his best panels. A lot of the textures are lifted from actual Flintstone cartoons for extra Hanna Barbera goodness
The MetLife super bowl commercial was freakin awesome, and during the game, on the Metlife Facedbook Wall, they shared many pics of the gang at their super bowl party. here they all are.

Does anything compare to these awesome sets and "dolls" what are they... maybe models. Viewmaster came up with these beautiful slides that bring tears to my eyes. after the Flintstones, they did Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Huck Hound and Pebbles and Bamm Bamm
here it is restored and colored. For those of you who don't know, Josie and the Pussycats and Jeannie were originally supposed to be on this team but do to ownership rights of those characters, they were replaced with Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels and Hong Kong Phooey
I got to do another Scooby Doo cake, this one for a little girl. She loved it, but I liked the first Scooby Doo cake I did better.
Just never know what you'll see, glad I had my camera handy.
Still woefully behind...hope to catch up with everyone in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for being so understanding.
Sergio came up with this scenario. it looks like the gals on the HB lot were looking for the latest "Rachel" but this is all the studio hair dresser knows how to do.

This was a design for a mini maquette set that Electric Tiki was supposed to do...the artist did a bunch of models of the characters they were going to do...but alas, the deal fell through, unfortunately for us. Touche Turtle
In one episode of Dexter's Lab, he goes to a Chucky Cheese type place, i believe called Chubby Cheese. in it, just like in the old Chucky Cheese establishments were animatronic characters. i found these cels online a long time ago and put them all together to make a cool little group shot.
Well here you go...not the best work, but to completely overhaul it would take a month. so...here is what i could do with limited time.
This is a sticker book that was sold in Mexico or Latin America quite some time ago. but if you consider the charactes on the cover, all of them had to have been on TV around the same time. my theory is that the shows were exported out of order so when things like this were made, they jumbled up a bunch of different time frame characters at once. on this we have Peter Potamus, Scrappy Doo, Teen Pebbles, Fred Flintstone, Huck Hound, Knock Knock, Nugget Nose, Top Cat, Hustle, Boogie, Buford, Yogi Bear and Dinky Dog
