Valencia is the third largest city in Spain. Valencia is located on the Costa del Azahar on the Mediterranean Sea and is considered the birthplace of paella, one of the most famous dishes in Spanish cuisine. Valencia is also known as the orange city. Valencia is Spain's third economic engine, after Madrid and Barcelona. Valencia was founded in 138 BC. under the name Valentia Edetanorum, by a Roman leader. Valencia has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and very mild winters. Valencia, like the entire region of Valencia, is officially bilingual; they speak both Spanish and Valencian. Valencian is very closely related to Catalan. Spanish Valencia is more than beach and paella. The highlight that you do not want to miss are the modern buildings of Calatrava. The 'Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències' or 'the City of Arts and Sciences' is a cultural and scientific complex of seven special buildings designed by Calatrava and is located in the drained Turia River of Valencia. It includes Spain's finest aquarium L'Oceanographic, a planetarium, an IMAX theatre, a science museum and a striking event hall. This science park is definitely the number one attraction of Valencia!
The 'City of Arts and Sciences' is a cultural and scientific complex in the Spanish city of Valencia. On the right the L'Hemisfèric - a planetarium and IMAX theater 3D. In addition, on the left the Science Museum where you can experiment with technology by touching and feeling things. Learn all about the environment, science and technology. This is the great 21st century science museum to learn all about life, science and technology in a didactic, interactive and entertaining way. Full interactivity is one of its special features, with the motto: "Forbidden not to touch, not to feel, not to think". In order to generate a pleasant learning process in which the visitor always actively participates.

SAMRAT YANTRA (Equatorial Sundial) in Science Park, JN Planetarium, Bengaluru.
The distinguishing characteristic of the equatorial dial is the planar surface that receives the shadow, which is exactly perpendicular to the gnomon's style. This plane is called equatorial, because it is parallel to the equator of the Earth and of the celestial sphere. If the gnomon is fixed and aligned with the Earth's rotational axis, the sun's apparent rotation about the Earth casts a uniformly rotating sheet of shadow from the gnomon; this produces a uniformly rotating line of shadow on the equatorial plane. Since the sun rotates 360° in 24 hours, the hour-lines on an equatorial dial are all spaced 15° apart (360/24).

The City of Arts and Sciences,is an entertainment-based cultural and architectural complex in the city of Valencia, Spain. It is the most important modern tourist destination in the city of Valencia.
L'Hemisfèric — an Imax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium. The building is meant to resemble a giant eye. The Hemesferic also known as the planetarium or the “eye of knowledge,” is the centerpiece of the City of Arts and Sciences. It was the first building completed in 1998. Its design resembles an eyelid that opens to access the surrounding water pool. The bottom of the pool is glass, creating the illusion of the eye as a whole.
There is a miraculous echo inside of the building and if two people stay on the two opposite pillars inside of the eye they can seamlessly speak with each other.

Saturday Self Challenge: technologie

Part of a wall of a datacentre. It is possible that this photo is stored behind this wall. Flickr uses servers from AWS (Amazon) for storage and AWS is a customer of this datacentre.
The photo shows the enormous scale that IT requires. Billions of TBs are sent over the internet every day, all of it in zeros and ones, hence the choice for black and white.

The Archimedean screw pump, is a machine used for transferring water from a low-lying body of water into irrigation ditches. Water is pumped by turning a screw-shaped surface inside a pipe.
The pump is commonly attributed to Archimedes on the occasion of his visit to Egypt. This tradition may reflect only that the apparatus was unknown to the Greeks before Hellenistic times and was introduced in Archimedes's lifetime by unknown engineers.

Europe, Netherlands, Utrecht, Science park, Infrastructure Tram 22, Bus
The new Uithoflijn (U-OV tram line 22: Utrecht Central - Science Park) wasn't opened yet and since it's a modified dedicated bus lane, I waited for the bus to pas for this shot of the brand new catenary system.
Another shallow DoF (lens fully open) Samyang 85-1.4 test. A nice and unplanned thang is the rendition of the rain in the OoF zone here. This is number 8 of the 'Taming of the shrew' album.

I uploaded six photos today as I would like any expert on lepidoptera out there in Flickr land to identify these beautiful butterflies. The photos were taken in the tropical butterfly enclosure at the Science Park (Parque de las Ciencias) in Granada, Spain. They maintain about 20 different species in this facility along with many tropical plants. I believe the butterfly on the left is a Dead Leaf butterfly. The inside of the wings are very colorful but I did not get a photo.
After posting this Heartlover 1717 has provided identifications as below in the comments. I am most appreciative and thankful for the time taken to help me with my request.
