I tried to use as little parts as possible to create a couple of the most famous starships in the galaxy. Hope you enjoy!
At every place, around every corner, in each next room, gallery, nightclub, beach, neighborhood, region there is always some thing, someone, someplace new and interesting to be found. The marvels others have become, created or inspired are endless in the data stream.
Sometimes I feel as though I am a disciple of a grand, religious technocracy. Or at the very least, sometimes I feel awareness of the gravity of spirit that dwells within these electronic light dreams created by the multitude of members of this grand communal dream world.
One thing is as certain about the data-stream dream world as it is about the mundane world; nothing lasts forever. Everything eventually fades, fails, crumbles into dust, dies or just goes away. I will miss the electronic dream world when one day, it's time too passes and it is a whisp in the night. A communal memory scattered in millions of minds across the globe.
Enjoy what you have, while you have it in both worlds. Sooner or later, it will all be gone

The star cluster Pismis 24 lies in the core of the large emission nebula NGC 6357 that extends one degree on the sky in the direction of the Scorpius constellation. Part of the nebula is ionised by the youngest (bluest) heavy stars in Pismis 24. The intense ultraviolet radiation from the blazing stars heats the gas surrounding the cluster and creates a bubble in NGC 6357. The presence of these surrounding gas clouds makes probing into the region even harder. One of the top candidates for the title of "Milky Way stellar heavyweight champion" was, until now, Pismis 24-1, a bright young star that lies in the core of the small open star cluster Pismis 24 about 8,000 light-years away from Earth. Pismis 24-1 was thought to have an incredibly large mass of 200 to 300 solar masses. New NASA/ESA Hubble measurements of the star, have, however, resolved Pismis 24-1 into two separate stars, and, in doing so, have "halved" its mass to around 100 solar masses.

It is the time of the year again, where I celebrate TREKtober - a month dedicated to Lego Star Trek!
This year I don't have the illusional aim to finish a the Enterprise D (nor to finish two models), but I want to achieve some major progress on the D.
First step is the shape of the saucer and some prototyping for crossbeams to make this huge oval in any way stable enough, to hold the saucer-panels.
Stay tuned for this TREKtober ;-)

Ever wondered why Mt. St. Helens exploded in 1980? And what's the story the government is covering up? Here's the first chapter of an illustrated Sci-Fi story I am writing. All the images are un-altered photos, except for one, page 5.

The crew has landed on the planet and discovered something unexpected.
"Captain, these plants, all this foliage...it's all artificial."
FIlm notes: The promotional materials and the movie poster show Sue and the Captain wearing the same style space suit. However, the studio was concerned that the public might get confused so they ordered a different suit for the Sue Reed character.
This was the shot I decided to go with. While it's not as dramatic as the other shot, I felt that this one had more life.
Oh yeah, and that's possibly the yummiest bit of earth ever---that's the topmost shoot of my mint leaf plant on a mound of cocoa powder :P

The Klingon Bird of Prey is, since I can think of, my favorite Spaceship-design and as well the one, which inspired me the most in my childhood and all my own spaceship Models.
After completing the BoP as virtual Model (2008-2010), it was always a dream of me to build it some time with real bricks. I'm really lucky the dream became true six years later!
Really just in time to celebrate and tribute with it the 50th anniversary of Star Trek this year as well as the 30th anniversary of "Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home" where the BoP is (at least for me) the big star on screen... aside with George and Gracie.

Special thanks to Mark Kelso and Marshal Banana for helping me out with the photo-edits and especially helping me to achieve my goal: getting the BoP online before end of the year!

"Planet of the Ood" is the 3rd episode of the 4th series of British science fiction series Doctor Who.
With the new Dungeon & Dragons minifigures, I've immediately thought of this Doctor Who species.
As we left Blue BlatX1702, I felt a sense of elation to be returning to the oxygen based atmosphere of Earth. It had been a long time. My granddaughter Leago would be about my age........
