Un roman d'aventures se déroulant sur fond de technologie et d'une civilisation à l'agonie. Loin dans le passé, sur une planète indéterminée.

Vaaxor, dernier rescapé d'une tribu décimée par les fauves, vit dans une jungle aux multiples dangers. Lors d'un rêve, il rencontre Lahiline, une jeune fille d'une beauté merveilleuse, et entend son appel au secours.

Désormais, rien ne comptera plus pour lui sinon la retrouver.

Mais ce qu'il ignore c'est que Lahiline, enfant-déesse du clan des Hortours, vit au sommet d'une tour gigantesque de 2000 étages, de 5 km de hauteur et d'une base au sol de 50 km². Les Hortours ont rejeté l'autorité d'Élarac, dictateur suprême et sanguinaire de la Tour, et sont pourchassés avec rage par sa milice.

Après les fauves de la jungle, les fauves de la Tour.
