“Watch Mr. Wizard” was an American television program (1951–1965) for children that demonstrated the science behind ordinary things. The show's creator and on-air host was Don Herbert. It enjoyed consistent praise, awards, and high ratings throughout its history. At its peak, “Watch Mr. Wizard” drew audiences in the millions, but its impact was far wider. By 1956, it had prompted the establishment of more than five thousand Mr. Wizard science clubs, with an estimated membership greater than one hundred thousand. It was briefly revived in 1971, and then in the 1980s was a program on the Nickelodeon children’s television network as “Mr. Wizard’s World.” [Source: Wikipedia]

Day 5 of CLC 1 week holiday program

- Science Workshop -

Our little gems of Camelot partook in some exciting experiments during our Science Holiday Programme; some of which were….

Rainbow Skittles:

The skittles were coated in food colouring and sugar. When you pour water over them, the coloured coating dissolves, spreading through the water.

& Magic Balloon:

For this exhilarating experience, the vinegar and baking soda mix together to make an acid-based reaction creating carbon dioxide gas that bubbles up from the mixture. The gas then expands up and out of the bottle, inflating the balloon.

As you can see below, the children had an absolute blast delving into each experiment and testing their scientific curiosities.

If you’d like your child to be a part of our holistic culture, we warmly welcome you to reach out to us by calling/Whatsapping: 84880221

You can visit to our centre, too. We are located at 221, East Coast Road,Singapore 428918.

Can you guess what this is? Looks like a science experiment, doesn't it?

It is a very weird feeling watching this science experiment take its course. The calcium in the egg shell is slowly dissolving in the vinegar.

After a day, most of the shell is gone and there is a mass that is more like a bouncy ball than an egg! The color has changed to beige.

It's just very eerie.

Assignment 3. Spooky. I had to take advantage of Halloween and get something seasonal into our assignments! This is the time of year when the other side is closest and walks the streets with regular folks, express this eerie or spooky feeling! Tag with cwd423.

Scientists recently performed three more experiments on local freshwater mussels. The purpose was to measure how much pollutants are removed as these animals filter water clean while they eat. This will help tell planners how investments in mussel restoration lead to cleaner water. Imagine if we could decrease our need for water treatment simply by investing in shellfish, many of which can live up to a century. Visit DelawareEstuary.org/freshwater-mussels to learn more.

It takes some guts to wear a slinky green leotard in public. Color me impressed. Though a zentai suit would have been mind blowing. Maybe I'll wear one next year.

For grades 1-5. An interactive science program where children can actually participate in experiments. Come prepared for some fun and wacky science!

“Formula X” cryptically labeled on the test tube of mysterious liquid. Once skillfully, purposefully crafted -

a now, ravaged angel holds the glass.

Red wax seals the cork and the word “secret”(not shown at this angle) is embossed on her thigh.

Will drinking this mad science improve the situation ... or create the situation?
