Christina's program for the Tweens this week was Science Experiments. The kids got to try to create static electricity with by rubbing records on cloth and hair and trying to pick up tiny objects.
This was the first in Kristin Prather's series of Science and Math Workshops. They are for Intermediate School students to learn basic math and science concepts through FUN activities and demonstrations. They will get to make rockets, search the stars, and test mind-boggling physics theories. Let's not forget playing math games!

Michigan 4-H Discovery Camp, held July 9-13, is a five-day exploration camp held at Michigan State University for youth ages 13-19. Campers explore ideas, research and opportunities in the field of energy as it relates to natural resources and agriculture.

After a very long Covid-19 hiatus we've resumed our primary outreach work in school.
What that means is we bring kids from local primaries in to have some fun lessons often using resources that primaries don't have.
In this instance we're in a lab, and kids just love setting stuff on fire! To that end, it's an energy from food experiement. They seemed to have fun. :)
