JANRAM the movie is now long gone, and DVD version was cut to little pieces in oversea market. Also banned in Singapore & Malaysia for lesbian contents. (schoolgirl tongue kissing and stuff)
Soundtrack in original film is horrible, don't know how bad it is in oversea version, probably as bad.. However, it was beautifully photographed. Too bad that NIEPCE House doesn't hold rights to re-cut the film, otherwise this could have been a really good one.
NATNALIN publishing may have a plan to print JANRAM in fictional version with series of new photographs. But still no confirmation at this time. Fictional version is somewhat different from the film, focusing on different characters, and Janram is not really a person - rather reflection or imagination..But fictional version is even bloodier than the film. Anyway, NN publishing still keeps quiet about the project although there're some cover design and sample photos sent by e-mail among their circles.
Beloit Daily News articles on this scene:
"Police confident in murder case"
"On April 2, Lak was found dead from gunshot wounds in his home at 1246 Eighth St. According to court documents, Lak was shot three times in the head and there were signs that a struggle occurred. Police received a report of shots fired, which included a description of a vehicle leaving the residence immediately following the gunfire. Officers saw the silver-green Pontiac Bonneville and tried to follow it. The car eventually crashed into a tree at the corner of Dewey and Henry avenues." (This is 6 blocks due east of my house. After work, I went off for a quick bike ride down North (usual route), and came across this scene. I grew up 2 blocks east, at 1247 Oak.)
Suspect faces counts related to slaying case
"A video from the officer's squad car was played and showed that Stewart went through a red light at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Henry Avenue. Hanaman followed the vehicle, which was going at a high speed and passing vehicles." (My wife witnessed this chase as she drove back to work after lunch on Henry Ave bridge.)
And, just because it bugs me and I love Google searches: United States Court of Appeals - "At that point a struggle broke out; Stewart drew his own gun and opened fire. Thomas retrieved the gun from Brown’s pocket and returned fire while Stewart fled. In the aftermath of the gunfight, Stewart had fled the scene, Brown lay shot at the end of the Intrepid, and Thomas, shot in his right hand and rear left shoulder..."
Why was this guy walking our streets? What is wrong with our DA?!!?!!?
We all love the zookeeper sessions when they take us behind the scenes into the non-public areas. It's fascinating and helps us understand more about the lives and care of the animals. We get a lot of info to help us engage and educate zoo visitors. We also learn just how dedicated and passionate our zookeepers are about their charges. They are truly an inspiration, and I have so much respect for them all.
SORRY BOUT THE SHAKES IN VIDEO, I HAD TO USE MY PHONE (yuk) AND I WAS A BIT GEEK'D.....
Naples is big on its nativity scenes, even in February, when we were this. This was the biggest one we saw though. It was in the cloisters of santa chiara
Mi-effrayées , mi-intriguées , elles voient rarement des étrangers sur ce petit chemin de campagne , dans ce lieu idyllique ...
Half scared , half intrigued , they rarely come across strangers on that remote country lane in idyllic surroundings ....
Another candid to mix things up :)
Hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. A snowy one if you are in the UK :). I have some catching up to do.
Thanks for all the comments and visits.
The New York City Department of Transportation's Urban Art Program, New York Cares and the Mayor's Community Affairs Unit organized two Barrier Beautification painting events in conjunction with New York Cares Service Day on Saturday, October 19, 2013. The Urban Art Program is collaborating for the first time with a current student at FIT as part of the Barrier Beautification program. Brooklyn-based artist Brittany Falussy joined volunteers to beautify 200 feet of concrete barriers along Bruckner Boulevard and Gerard Avenue in the Bronx.
The illustrative design "Sight Scene" depicts different colored heads wearing various eye glasses. The design is inspired by the artists many trips on the subway and seeing no only all different types of people, but all different types of eye ware.

Behind the scenes at a charity group shoot in a pub. The old couple in the corner having a Sunday afternoon drink while all this is going on always makes me smile :)
another in the xarchive week series.
while technically crap, i love this photo. a display area caught in mid shuffle at ikea during the post-holiday rush. i liked finding something at ikea that wasn't perfectly placed and finished. too bad this was all the endless stream of people walking past would allow.

A tradition since 1963, the creche is a pretty sight during an evening drive on Pacific Coast Highway. While the Santa Monica nativity scene is mired in controversy this year, the Malibu one still stands.
Ethiopia. Omo region.
Key Afar market.
This is the main market for the Banna, but it's also visited by other tribes such as Hamer,Konso, Ari and Tsemay which makes it a very colorful place.
Identifying these tribes is very hard, as the Hamer Banna and Tsemay have a lot in common, and living so close together tend to take over each others customs.
