The quality of the light captured here is amazing - great detail on the oak tree as well.
Of all Dutch landscape painters, Koekkoek is perhaps the most Romantic. He specialized in splendid panoramas of the valley of the Rhine and forest scenes with majestic trees, which at the time were called 'Wodan's Oaks' (Wodan being the Dutch name for Odin, the major god in Norse mythology). In 1834 Koekkoek settled in Cleves in Germany, over the border from Nijmegen. He found German scenery, with its hills and the Rhine, more romantic than the Dutch landscape.
This was made of shells and little wooden figures that I make. It was inspired by an 18th century piece in Williamsburg. I call it “Look for me at the Coral Bridge”.
This is what a big budget photo shoot looks like. Really just me and my son playing around.

Beloit Daily News articles on this scene:
"Police confident in murder case"
"On April 2, Lak was found dead from gunshot wounds in his home at 1246 Eighth St. According to court documents, Lak was shot three times in the head and there were signs that a struggle occurred. Police received a report of shots fired, which included a description of a vehicle leaving the residence immediately following the gunfire. Officers saw the silver-green Pontiac Bonneville and tried to follow it. The car eventually crashed into a tree at the corner of Dewey and Henry avenues." (This is 6 blocks due east of my house. After work, I went off for a quick bike ride down North (usual route), and came across this scene. I grew up 2 blocks east, at 1247 Oak.)
Suspect faces counts related to slaying case
"A video from the officer's squad car was played and showed that Stewart went through a red light at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Henry Avenue. Hanaman followed the vehicle, which was going at a high speed and passing vehicles." (My wife witnessed this chase as she drove back to work after lunch on Henry Ave bridge.)
And, just because it bugs me and I love Google searches: United States Court of Appeals - "At that point a struggle broke out; Stewart drew his own gun and opened fire. Thomas retrieved the gun from Brown’s pocket and returned fire while Stewart fled. In the aftermath of the gunfight, Stewart had fled the scene, Brown lay shot at the end of the Intrepid, and Thomas, shot in his right hand and rear left shoulder..."

I was up in Glasgow for a meeting and a function yesterday so snapped a couple of shots by the Clyde, outside my hotel
Driving home the light started going nice and I pulled in at the nearest services to see if there was anything nice to see. This is the scene just off the M6 just by Firbank in the Lake District, I think.

I was sparking on a Jewellery commercial shoot in South London. This was the process of shooting different rings on a rotating plate, Dedo lights with the lens is seen in shoot. They were shooting on RED Helium in 8K, with Panavision glass.

while technically crap, i love this photo. a display area caught in mid shuffle at ikea during the post-holiday rush. i liked finding something at ikea that wasn't perfectly placed and finished. too bad this was all the endless stream of people walking past would allow.
