Playing around with my scanner. I was moving along the scanner as it did its preview scan, so these are stuck at 72 dpi unfortunately, but they're still cool.
i dont know why my scanner decided to make the greys blue on this and one other photo, as the others turned out normal...
but it looks great so im not complaining!!
Based on the landscape and the details in the photo, this is almost certainly not Fort Ord. It appears to be the Pōhakuloa Training Area (PTA) on the Big Island of Hawai'i.

Purpose: Because Pōhakuloa is located at an elevation of over 6,000 feet between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, it gets very cold and windy at night. The huts provided semi-permanent shelter for thousands of soldiers who would come over from Oahu for weeks at a time.
Legacy: Many of these huts are still standing today, making it one of the largest and best-preserved collections of Quonset huts still in active military use.
Life at Schofield Barracks (The "Quads")
The photos you shared of the soldier in front of large concrete buildings were taken in the historic Quads at Schofield Barracks.
A "Home for a Regiment": Each Quad (labeled A through J) was originally designed to house an entire infantry or artillery regiment.
The Layout: They typically consist of three-story barracks buildings arranged around a central courtyard or "parade deck".
Service History: These Quads have seen the division through World War II (they were famously strafed during the Pearl Harbor attack), the Korean War, and the Vietnam War era shown in your photos.
