Patrol Manager works by recording data from location buttons located along a specified route. Whenever it touches one of the location buttons, the unique code from that buttons is recorded in Patrol Manager’s memory together with the date and time. Operating on the same principle, buttons can be programmed to record individual events e.g. window open, lock broken etc. Event Wallets, containing up to 10 data cells per wallet allow electronic recording of patrol findings.

Patrol Manager is a revolutionary new concept to help companies maintain control of their security personnel and processes. Just imagine receiving a daily printed report itemising in detail the movements over the past 24 hours of every member of your security staff and the events they encounter.
I got a new scanner today, the CanoScan LiDE 600F, with film scanning capabilities. It's pretty rad.
Haha, I said "rad".
This photo shows a full body scanner being used in an airport. This new technology is very controversial because of its invasive nature.
This is the scanner-camera shooting in the tuscany countryside. Now I have the IR/UV filter, and I've done some photos with real colors, but nothing interesting enough to upload.
I also have bad news:
THE SCANNER IS DEAD.
Now I have to buy a new scanner, so my wish to build a low cost digital scanner-camera is now vanished, because the minimum amount of money to buy a normal ccd scanner is about 90-100 euros.
So I have an advice to all the people who wants to build their own scanner camera: don't do it unless you have at least 3-400 euros or dollars to spend: the probability to destroy your scanner is very high. in my case I don't know even what's the problem, all works, but is now blind. the ccd is dead.
The best candidate for replacing the old scanner is the EPSON Perfection V30, beacuse of it's longitudinal resolution of 9600 dpi, and the possibility to choose different resolution for x and y.
My new LARGE scanner next to my TINY mac. ;) It was an early Christmas present scored from staples for $38!!! It only took me two hours on the phone with tech support to get it going - if you get one, don't install the drivers that come with it!! (there is a new updated driver on their website)
The hat and sandal are reducing light leaks...
the scanner is a Canon lide 35 flatbed scanner with a box on it. To make the sensor accept off-axis light, i placed a strip of paper over it. the paper does not cover the scanner led or glass, and tracks with the scanner.
Optics consist of a large double convex lens that I pulled out of a projection TV hot glued to a double concave lens that I purchased on Amazon for $10.the "bellows" consist of a duct taped pair of cardboard boxes that should really be replaced with something sturdier and light-tight.
It will do up to 1200x1200dpi in 16 bit, but it really is a silly exercise.
Anti-static Bubblewrap on scanner.
Feel free to remix. All I ask is that you don't sell it as is. You are free to sell your own artwork which incorporates it. Just don't be a troll.
Also, Feel free to use it without attribution. Flickr doesn't give that as an option. Note that this does not apply to all my photos, only ones bearing this label. If you like it, or use it, I'd love to see what you do with it. Send me an email pointer if you'd like!
