This 35 year old image, shot from a Yashica ELECTRO 35CC, was saved from the ravages of time by a scan of the 35mm Kodak slide with an HP Scanjet G4050 and multiple operations with Photoshop.
After a couple days in the crowded tourist mecca of Kuta Beach we sought sanctuary in Candidasa and moved into the beachfront Homestay Agung Cottages.

The monument comprises six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues.
The facts behind its abandonment remain a mystery. It is not known when active use of the monument and Buddhist pilgrimage to it ceased.

White Motor Company was an American automobile and truck manufacturer from 1900 until 1980. Although this beast has been sitting idle for a while at Regusci Winery, I am sure that all it needs is a tune-up and it will be up and running again.

My HP Scanjet 4890 really sucks. Scanning documents is ok, but when scanning negatives, it produces ugly stripes. The negatives themselves are ok. Moving the negatives on the plate moves the stripes. Have you experienced the same? Is there anything I can do about it?
Update: I got myself a Canon Canoscan 8800F, which seems to do a better job.
