Until recent times Stagecoach operated a frequent open top service between Paignton, Torquay and Babbacombe/St Marychurch. The service all but disappeared, but has been resurrected this Summer to operate a short season of a curtailed service 200. Scania/Alexander 15329 (J829HMC), one of the last batch drafted in to operate the full open top 200, was brought out this year, and is heading towards Torquay Harbourside during the afternoon of 5 September. Not a great deal of patronage on the upper deck. (By the way, that pole mounted security camera isn't actually on the bus.)
Stoke bound on service 26 is First Potteries 61246 (S686BFS), a Scania/Wright Axcess-ultralow, on 2 July 2010. Gone from the fleet windows are the "Good Luck England" vinyls, and the bus is passing a discarded England car flag.

The re-appearance of England flags on cars should have given me a clue, and the appearance of "Good Luck England" stickers in the windows of First Potteries buses made me wonder if there was some sporting event in the offing. The inclusion of a football in the First sticker suggests something connected to that particular sport, but having absolutely no interest whatsoever in football or all the big business connected with it, its all lost on me.
I presume these stickers are appearing in other First Group fleets, though probably not north or west of the English borders.
