Having watched First Potteries 60171 go by, I quickly noticed that the Mondeo it was passing was a ST24 saloon. The ST24 was the sporty variant of the Mondeo, and nowhere near as common as the other models in the range. Added to the range in 1997, in addition to the established Si, the ST24 had a 2.5 V6 engine capable of just under 140mph and 0-60 in 8 secs. Two years later the ST200 came along, so ST24s are not that common a sight.
First Potteries 60171 (T918SSF) is a Scania/Wright, and the scene is Town Road, Hanley, 29 June 2010.

On show for the first time one of Lothian's former Airlink Scania buses 996 is newly repainted into madder-and-white and poses along side Wright Eclipse Gemini number 752, formerly of the Ace of Spades 'orange' branded livery for service 31.
I think 996 looks splendid in Lothian's new interpretation of the Capital's 100 year old livery and all of the old airport buses will be launched in this scheme later in the year for use largely on Service 35 between the Airport and the City of Edinburgh.
For me there's a certain Continental look about the Scania and Edinburgh hasn't had a madder-and-white fleet ever like this before.

I don't think the N is meant to be there in the mid-morning when I took this photo. Working in the place of a normal hybrid Volvo B5LH's on route 7 is this older East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD.
The special livery is celebrating Brightons World War 1 heritage.

Two Code 3 adaptions, with the First Kelvin Dart SLF having had a full rebuild and respray, with only minor cosmetic work on the Wright Scania Axcess. Some of the interior work to the Dart can be seen in the picture, the yellow “handrails” were coloured paperclips, measures to size and snipped before gluing into place. Faux signage was added, and the cash box painted red

12 D 13992 is seen on layover on Nassau Street, very similar to the Bus Eireann SE class also being delivered at present.
With trendy wheel embelishers & front LED, its great to see some new coaches arriving on the streets finally.
First Potteries has been the recipient of many cascaded Scanias. The most prolific single deckers in the Potteries fleet are Scanias with Wright Axcess bodywork. Examples have been cascaded mainly from Manchester and Glasgow. 61143 (S361MFP), seen not far from the Deltabus homestead in December 2007, originally came from First Northampton.

PT. Narendra Trans Tungga Putra, Scania K360IB Jetbus 3+ SHD Meizam Body Repair based in Malang, East Java. The history of this unit is that it originally belonged to Sanura bus company from Aceh, but now it has closed and all units have been purchased by JRG bus company. The initial basis of this unit is a Jetbus 2+ SHD Adiputro bodied with a Scania K360iB DC13-108 Opticruise Transmission chassis. Because this unit had been sold to JRG bus company, it was finally taken to Meizam Bodi Repair based in Malang to be repaired so that its appearance was fresh again, after -+ 10 months of repair, finally in mid-2022 it was officially released with the appearance and livery typical of JRG bus company. Before it was operated by JRG bus company in early September 2022 (if I'm not mistaken), this unit turned out to be plain silver and was going to be auctioned/sold, so from that auction it was finally bought by Narendra Trans bus company. What was initially plain silver after being purchased by Narendra bus company was immediately repainted at the Laksana bodywork with its distinctive livery from Narendra Trans bus company.
Although not involved with organisation of the Potteries Rally, First Potteries always send a bus to the event. This year we asked for 60074 (V832GBF), significant as a "PMT" bus, being delivered new to FirstPMT in 1999. The delivery consisted of 3 x Scania/Wright, numbered 830-2.
60074 is seen leaving the rally at the end of the afternoon passing Turner Fleetline 10 which, following the PMT takeover of Turner, become 750.
