While riding his CNG on my way to work, I noticed some branches with green leaves attached to the door of the taxi. I thought he must have cut those from a tree and attached them here - indeed, the summer heat is unbearable!! As I gave a closer look, I found those are real plants! Planted in small plastic bottles with soil in them!
I asked him why he planted those in the CNG. "These ARE oxygen", he said.
I couldn't ask him any more questions. My 'educated' mind bowed to this extraordinary man, who is nothing but a mere taxi driver to us.

A short moment of the clouds disappearing gave me a window to shoot this beautiful volcano, located in the Andes mountains of Colombia. Sadly, caused by climate change, is the glacier melting away at such a high rate it will disappear within the next 30 years. Scientists predict that all glaciers in Colombia will be on the edge of extinction by the year 2050

These Sea Gipsy ladies are using a short knife picking shells from the rocks outside of Sanga U. These are segment boats on a background. I hope we are not getting Coal boats as well as then the shells will die as all marine life too.

My wife is concerned about plastics and we often visit Sugar & Scoop to buy our food. When you take away the packaging and you can buy what you need rather than what you have to buy, the products seem better value. Take pepper beans today, my wife bought 150grams for £4 but in a local supermarket cost was £2.65 for 50grams and you have a container that you need to discard. Not ideal. Over the years my wife must have saved thousands of plastic containers and pointless other sorts of containers being used once and thrown away. Yes I am proud of my wife whom I call affectionately Mrs Green for the simple and effective way she is saving our planet, bless her!!!!
