Since the beginning of time trees have provided shelter, food, medicine, and the air we breathe. They are the keepers of time representing strength, endurance, knowledge and our connection to the earth. Threatening their existence is devastating deforestation in the name of progress. Nearly 50% of the world’s forests have already been lost. Each year, the effects and impact on our environment worsen.

Pentax K1000 - Portra 400 - Ohio River Greenway. One of my favorite bike rides. It was cold that day, but December sunsets are worth it.

Mist, suspension in the atmosphere of very tiny water droplets (50–500 microns in diameter) or wet hygroscopic particles that reduces horizontal visibility to 1 km (0.6 mile) or more; if the visibility is reduced below 1 km, the suspension is called a fog. Mist appears to cover the landscape with a thin, grayish veil. In the United States the term mist is sometimes used loosely to designate a drizzle, a very light precipitation composed of small water droplets (200–500 microns in diameter) falling to the ground. In Scotland and parts of England, a combination of thick mist or fog and heavy drizzle is called Scotch mist.
Mit diesem Slogan warb anno 2016 neben der hier abgebildeten 101 004 auch die 101 023 für die Bahn-BKK, eine Krankenversicherung, die einst für Eisenbahner geschaffen wurde, seit 01. Dezember 1998 aber für jedermann geöffnet ist.
Beide Loks bekamen für ihre Rolle als Werbebotschafter die gleiche Beklebung, welche trotz ihrer relativ schlichten Gestaltung durchaus zu gefallen vermochte. Am 09. September 2016 versammelten sich daher mehrere Fotografen auf der Nassachbrücke nahe Uhingen, um 101 004 am EC 114 festzuhalten. Leider hatte der Zug an diesem Tag aufgrund einer Weichenstörung eine stattliche Verspätung von ca. 80 Minuten im Gepäck, wodurch das Warten bei Temperaturen über 30°C zu einem wahren Geduldsspiel wurde.
Während 101 004 ihre Werbung für die Bahn-BKK noch bis Anfang 2018 behalten durfte, verlor die 023 diese bereits 2017 wieder. Anno 2019 präsentieren sich nun beide Loks also wieder im verkehrsroten Outfit.
L’endroit le plus sûr pour un bateau, c’est le port. Mais ce n’est pas pour ça que le bateau a été créé.

Brazil is on fire, it's very sad, arson. They are deliberately setting fires to huge areas of environmental protection. It is impossible to combat so many different outbreaks in such vast areas.
