I was dawdling along the road and pulled in a lay-by to let some faster cars past. I looked left and saw this lovely wood with the winter light edging through. I've made a mental note to go back for a walk there.

Thanks for your visit and comments, much appreciated!
This is an old railway line converted into a trail for walkers and bicyclists. There are spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside at this point. I took the photo at dusk just prior to a tremendous downpour. The light was good, though.

These trees were the more colorful of the lake, not a lot of colors around but a lot of green.
“Thanks everybody for your visit and kind comments, really appreciated!”

I grabbed this when I was walking up the road. I like the trees still in hibernation. The fence is an old iron one. The daffodils were originally planted there, but now steadily spreading. It was a perfect winter-spring day - very cold, dry, bright.
A photo I took some time ago when the rape fields were at their best. This oak tree is a roost for pigeons and the shot is taken on a zoom. I wonder how many birds you can spot?

Tunworth walk yesterday. It is wonderful the way the new growth is so vibrant on the trees and how they hang low over the path.
This is the seed pod (old) of a sweet pea against the vibrant colour of a newly opened sweet pea. Taken with the iPhone 6+ and Olliclip attachment. It was tricky getting any kind of focus but the blurry bits were a gorgeous colour. HMM!
First attempt in 2017 to significantly alter an image rather than enhance it. I used Snapseed for the first time. It's a flower I saw when walking Bonnie. Most of this type of flower were white, but this one was pink.

This hardly seems like England - yet this tropical vegetation can be found on the edge of the lake at The Vyne NT property in Hampshire. The wicker 'heron' in the background makes the whole scene seem weirder and weirder!
It is of course Gunnera manicata or Prickly rhubarb www.water2garden.org/giant-prickly-rhubarb/

(January in Sweden) This photo was taken in the middle of the day when the sun soon was about setting. The days in north of Sweden are very short this time of the year. In december the sun hardly rises over the horizon. Luleå is near the Arctic Circle.
This cotton tail stayed there for some minutes, no moving at all. (Best in Large view)
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR VISITS AND SUPPORT, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!
My favorite butterfly posing over a leaf.
I have been very busy working overtime every day and Saturday (next week will be the same). I'm trying to catch up today with you. Sorry for the delay. Thanks for your visit, comments and faves. A big hug and have a great week!

This is a flower determined to grow in a Derbyshire stone wall. The wall is a very dark gritstone, not the more usual limestone. I've tweaked every aspect of the exposure. I've left one tiny flower in focus (or as good as I could get!)
Yesterday I took one camera with the cheap lens and went to the park to see the trees. Took some photos because I knew the wind and rain it was going to put most of those leaves on the ground later. I put my camera in my lunch bag and then went to work, almost went late to work. Today the wind is still strong so at least I have some photos of the "before" the rain.
