Un vino orgánico es aquel que se produce a partir de uvas que crecen en viñedos cultivados sin el uso de productos químicos o sintéticos. Tanto la fertilización como la prevención y control de posibles plagas y enfermedades se enfrentan sólo con técnicas y enemigos naturales como flores, pastos, gansos y la introducción de poblaciones de insectos beneficiosos.
This exquisite range’s name was coined after those 20 initial barrels. Pinot Noir was followed by Cabernet Sauvignon in 1997, Merlot in 1998, Chardonnay - Cono Sur’s first ultra-premium white wine - in 2002, and the latest member of the family, Sauvignon Blanc, in 2005.

Weltevrede is a Family owned and managed wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, close to the town of Bonnievale. The Jonker Family Wine Estate has become known for inspiring wines, nurtured to express the qualities of unique terroir. The story of Weltevrede began in 1912, when Klaas Jonker purchased the farm and planted the first vineyards in the area. He was followed by Japie Jonker, who in 1933 began wine farming on Weltevrede. Today, the tradition is carried on by current owner Philip Jonker, the fourth generation to work this special piece of land.

Private Reserve Series Sauvignon Blanc ‘Barrel Aged’ - lots of fruit flavours (pineapple & apple), refreshing but high in acidity (went well with the creamy brie)
2005 Private Reserve Series Gamay Noir ‘Barrel Aged’ - medium bodied, with lots of fruit (cranberries, raspberries, cherries) and earthy flavours (smoke and spice). (went nicely with the duck salad)
Limited Edition Founder’s Series Cabernet Franc Icewine - rare only made 3 times at Peller - flavours of strawberries, raspberries and cherries and a little spice.

I've had their malbec and liked it, so when I was in search of an already cold white wine last night I grabbed this. It's pretty good -- nice and dry without losing any boldness, if that makes sense. I'm not the best at describing wines, despite drinking a lot of it.

The Girl was supposed to have a playdate at a friend's house across the street. Somehow, we all ended up in our backyard instead. On a hot day, nothing makes a playdate better for the grownups than sharing a bottle of wine.
