The first night in Sjovegan the sky was quite overcast but, in some moments, the northern lights shone beautifully and were reflected in the lake.
The Apuan Alps from Mount Matanna, under the light of the full moon...
The constellations of the Great Dipper and Leo are clearly visible in the night sky...
Shot with Samyang 14mm f2.8
The aurora was very intense, dancing above my head. Fortunately, I had mounted my fisheye lens on my camera to capture every detail.
Trawling through my hard drive again, this is a mono conversion of a shot with Tim G in a tunnel under Derbyshire.
The Vasa Museum (Swedish: Vasamuseet) is a maritime museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Located on the island of Djurgården, the museum displays the only almost fully intact 17th-Century ship that has ever been salvaged, the 64-gun warship Vasa that sank on her maiden voyage in 1628.
Luckily, I had my Samyang 12mm fisheye lens with me so I could capture the ship in all its splendor.
A black and white edit in Lightroom for iPad of a recent shot made under the Derbyshire Peak District with Tim G using a combination of camera rotation and a red laser level device. All shot in one continuous photographic exposure.
A solo recce to a newly discovered tunnel unbelievably close to home; how the heck did I not know about this? 😳 Made using the excellent Denis Smith @the_ball_of_light still going strong and tough as old boots for a destroyer of LP tools, aka me!
So far, this year I've been very unlucky with weather conditions and spare time, so I've yet to shoot the Milky Way.
This is a part of a panorama I shot last summer, vertically cropped and with a different post production flow...
Shot with the Samyang 14mm f2,8, you can find the whole panorama somewhere in my feed :)
The pseudo time-lapse of that night.
It makes me remember that wonderful show.
Thinking about this clip, I can't believe it only has 14 faves. It's a wonderful video after a hard work. So, I don't understand people that I'm following (all of them are following me too) but they don't fave many of my pictures. Therefore, excuse me if I unfollow you by the moment.
Sherwood Forest as you have probably never seen like it before.... Another one of those shots which took some extreme effort on my part to bag! Rob Bates dragged an OAP lightpainter out for a very long walk in the dark woods of Sherwood Forest. I'm definitely feeling my age after that trek! Shot in one photographic exposure as usual.
A long overdue evening under the Derbyshire Peak District with Tim G with camera rotation and steel wool faffery. All shot in one continuous photographic exposure
Another trawl through my hard drive trying to make more space only to find another shot worthy of throwing on the internet. White balance adjusted for a metallic blue feel
Another from a trip to a new to me location with an unsuspecting volunteer aka victim to spin the steel wool on a drill!
Orion shines in the winter night sky, just under the Milky Way.
Stacked image composed of 16 tracked shots, 2 minutes @f4, ISO 1600 with a Canon 700d and the Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens.
Stacked with Deep Sky Stacker, edited in Lightroom :)
Shooting under a railway tunnel with a fisheye lens and a Coast TX10 torch, still my fave blue tone for lighting
5th of a long serie of shots at night, Milky Way and other stuffs.
As I was working on the Milky ways and other stuffs, I had my old 1000D working by itself shooting 2mn exposures in a raw to capture the journey of Earth in the sky.

I never thought this being belongs to the wasp family, but it does! I found that out only after I photographed it and then made a little research.
Amazing show of northern lights in Sodankyla that night with reflections in the river Kitinen.

Mixing lasers and sparks from a recent trip to an underground bomb store with a bunch of ne'er do well light painters...
Another one from last night's experimental waving of lights in the kiln. Shot in one photographic exposure, this is not a Photoshop creation.
