A large group of people were learning salsa at Sergels torg as I happened to pass by a couple of warm days ago.
I adore reds, and I so love gladiator sandals.
Blood reds with black gladiators are two stunning peas in a blissful pod. It just doesn’t get any better than that.

I've always been fascinated with freckles. We dont find many people with freckles in our part of the world, and if we do, it is considered far from a sign of beauty.
As I had travelled to Turkey, I had wished to take photos of as many different people as I could come across - but failed tremendously as some won't just like being photographed, while I failed to approach the rest of the interesting people I came across.
It was our second day at Olympos, and as we were returning to our hotel from the beach (more on that coming soon) i spotted this gorgeous young girl wrapped in a towel walking back towards the town. I asked @effemm_ if he thought it was a good idea to ask her for a photo, and proceeded after a go ahead from him. @salsa_kk was shy at first, asking me why I wanted the photo - and it took a bit of explaining as to how her freckles seemed beautiful to me. She had to ask @carpetoday for permission, which was granted, and we spent the next 3 minutes trying to capture this beauty.
I was overwhelmed with joy. And I hope Salsa also finds this to be a nice photo :-)

It hasn't been a great tomato year, and I was afraid that I wouldn't get to make our annual allotment of salsa. No fear! I made 8 jars yesterday, and hope to get a few more (plus we have three left from last year).
Now if I would only have enough tomatoes for sauce and canning...
about eight months ago in a Mexican restaurant in Anacortes while on a camera drive on Whidbey Island. She is contemplating a tortilla chip with a smile. What does it mean? Deconstructing the image: Is she fascinated (amused? bemused? confused?) by the beauty of the light illuminating the yellow corn; or is she imagining, anticipating with slow release of saliva in her mouth the crisp snap of the chip when it reaches her mouth to float briefly on her tongue before being consummated/consumed? Is there salsa on that chip or is it 'nekkid'? Why is she ignoring me, not even a hint of affection; the chip is the center of her universe at this moment and I do not exist. But her hand is clearly in motion....is it possible that the chip is about to be offered to me or is it headed for her own gullet? Why is there no beer or tequila on the table...where is that fucking waitress? What is The Qua ordering from the menu; and as a vegetarian will she be repulsed and refuse to kiss me if I order Chile Verde? What are those interesting visual things on the wall to the right....(i like that little upper right section of the image a lot)? Is that homemade or bottled commercial salsa disguised to look like homemade? Well, not sure what the answers are but, damn, it was a fine lunch and and a fine day.....
So, new Salsa came out yesterday... this bike was built for me. Really it was. I swear it. :)
The first pictures even have my fav Topeak Morph bike pump on it. It's like I've already ridden it. They should have called the Mike'r. ;)
In fact it's called the Fargo (like the movie) and it is a 29'r mountain touring bike. It's a whole new breed of mountain bike. A morph of cyclocross, touring and mountain.
If you were going to do the GDR, simply the TransIowa or for that matter just roam the back roads of Fargo North Dakota this would be the ultimate bike for you.
A few highlights.
1) Can switch between 700c road or 29" mountain tires up to 2.4" in width. In fact you could even build up a 26" wheel on the disk hub if say you were on the other side of the world and you busted a rim. It's just one of the many advantages of 29r's and disk brakes. In fact the only thing they possibly could have added was v-brake mounts for 26 and/or 29 inches wheels "just in case".
2) Cyclo-style drop bar for many hand positions.. for when you're out there riding a 14 hour day. (Still definitely a mountain bike.)
3) Has six water bottle mounts... see if you can find them all. Hint: when you have six water bottle mounts you can spare one for mounting other essentials.
4) Has all the mounts and trimmings including those for disks, fenders, and all manner of touring racks.
5) You can probably put a 29'r front suspension fork on it if you like but most likely it won't ever need one since 29r's are famous for their ability to absorb anything... well anything unless you're looking to do downhill or free ride... which I suppose you could swap out the bars and front for and do that as well.
6) Cro-Mo frame. The ultimate material for durability and value.
All in all it's a TREMENDOUSLY versatile bike.
I can't wait to get mine.
The only problem is it supposedly won't be available until February!?
Perhaps Salsa should send me one for "testing". At 6'5" and 250+ lbs I've been known to push things to their limits and I just got back from a 4 day / 400 mile trip down into the hills of SW Ohio on my Surly Cross-check. (Pics are forthcoming.)

I love watching salsa dancing. There was all kinds of it happening downtown Vancouver at Robson Square on the weekend. These people were very good at it.

Salsa Fargo, Revelate harness and seatbag. Need a proper frame bag, the Jandd might stay home. Big Agnes 30d down bag and insulated air core pad in front drybag. Personal items with quick access in the pouch. Seatbag has Henessy Hammock and straps, off bike shorts and baselayer, extra calories, and stuff sack to hang food. Jandd bag has tube, tools, chain lube, multitool.
On my back will be my Wingnut Gear Hyper 3.0, very lightly loaded with water bladder (when I get a proper frame pack I should be able to get everything on the bike), calories, wallet, phone, Spot tracker, camera, vest, arm wamers, cap, glasses and knife. I'll also have a dromedary bag to fill after dinner to haul water to a campsite, so I don't have to carry a filter (but I do have Aqua Maria drops with me in case of emergency) . Bottle on the bike will be used for electrolyte drink.
Running WTB Vulpines for dirt road / pave / some trail.
