UTM's Campus Police team taught a safety lesson before letting the students put out a virtual fire. In a session led by Steven Rivera, assistant manager, campus security, and Constable Shaw Kudrath, students attempted to put out a virtual fire with a laser fire extinguisher. The best time of the day was 1.9 seconds.
You cannot see it but drivers and network rail teams are facing a problem at Cosham affecting all eastbound services. The signal located at the end of the platform behind me has failed and will only show a red aspect. So all trains are stopping a few hundred meters west of the crossing (beyond the bridge), awaiting verbal instructions to proceed and crossing the road into the platform at extreme caution. After the passengers have done their stuff (it was a busy station this fine summer Saturday), the train passed the light at red under orders and was routed along the coast or turned right into Portsmouth at Cosham Junction. 450050/450089 were Portsmouth bound from I know not where.
In three days of intense travel mostly on LB&SC Rly routes this was my only disruption and caused a half hour delay from a missed connection. Well done Southern Railway and Network Rail!
This was taken in T. Nagar market in Chennai, India. This grabbed my attention when I saw the safety concern of this gut, he has protected his head but not the feet.
