Lake Sabrina and North Lake were in my list of spots to cover during Sunrise. To make this happen I have stayed in nearby town, Bishop. Look at my laziness, I did not wake up by Sunrise two consecutive days. But on Day three I caught up the schedule and made it on time to the lakeshore. I sat there with a cup of coffee patiently waiting for the Sunrise but to my surprise Lake was getting busy with fishing folks landing the boats. I was silently praying that they should not enter the waters before Sunrise. But they did :-( Otherwise I would have got a perfect reflection of the mountains.
Sabrina get s well deserved day off to go shopping after all the trials of the past month!!!

Same picture as I posted at the beginning of this day, with Lili removed (she had other stuff to do). Sabrina is an interesting cat - she absolutely loves all the dogs, almost as if she has adopted them. The other day Lili and I went over to visit Cash, with Sabrina (and others) tagging along. Cash started to do his "guy dog" thing to the "girl dog" (Lili). Sabrina arched her back, bristled her fur, and marched right on over to "chaperone." I'm not sure what she intended to do, exactly, but she was NOT going to let Cash "pick on" one of HER dogs. She backed off when she realized that Lili welcomed the attentions of Cash.

This is how we do it: Thomas Janke and Sabrina discuss a set and possible poses before measuring light and getting the camera.
The direct sunlight is difficult to master and the taylor-mannequins weren't inspiring, so we finally decided not to shoot this set. Soooo .... you've never seen this for real. The view behind the courtain happened because of a glitch in the matrix.

Another shot of Sabrina from last week's shoot. I think this is a really nice, casual portrait and it suits her look well. I had her stand on this park bench for a few shots but I think her sitting down like this is a better fit for the location and outfit.
Not too much else to say here - same camera and lens as all the other shots. Gotta say I'm impressed with the sharpness at f/1.4 since most lenses are their best a couple stops down from their largest aperture.

For the last several years I've been trying to catch a good sunrise at Lake Sabrina during the peak of fall colors. I've managed to encounter clouds in the wrong places or no clouds at all, too much wind, and colors that were past peak or not yet ready for prime time. Finally, last weekend, the conditions cooperated. This is a long exposure captured during a light snowstorm as the sun rose.
Sabrina Culver won 4 awards and received 10 nominations as leading actress, supporting actress, writer and producer. She holds over 40 credits to her name, including parts in shows such as NYPD Blue, CSI, All My Children, Drunk History, and Castle. She holds a major in Musical Theatre from Emerson College in Boston and is the CEO of Twin Flames Productions.

Just wanted to see if these stars are foldable from 5 cm squares... Well, not a recommended size by any means, but with thin enough paper it works.
Autumn color decorates this island and the surrounding mountains at lake Sabrina.
Maybe not a landscape, but I thought it was pretty enough to share. I could only find one other posting on flickr of this scene, which frankly amazes me because this is so easy to get.
