From our collection of family photos, this is a tram (aka streetcar) operated by the BC Electric Railway Company that offered two-hour sightseeing trips around the streetcar system of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They were apparently popular for tourists and locals alike, from around 1910 onwards.

This photo has an inscription printed across the bottom, although it was too faint to scan:

" B.C.Electric Rly.Co. Observation Car. "Teddy" Lyons, Conductor. Harry Bullen, Photographer . 2608 Granville St. Phone Bay 8869 "

On the back is a date stamp : "Aug 5 1940"

This leads me to believe that each streetcar trip was posed for a photograph by Mr.Bullen, with the passengers informed where they could purchase a copy of the photo as a souvenir of their trip. Presumably one of our family or family friends at the time is a passenger on this trip, although we can't identify anyone specifically; it is, of course, over 80 years ago !

The Vancouver downtown from the highest structure of the city. There were dark clouds approaching that day and I was keen to see the cityscape at sunset. A bit disappointed I still continued to head up the building. The guide at the location however told me how people misjudge the cloudy weather and that it covers up the sunset. She told me to continue and I will be left impressed. She was right. The view with all the nature's elements was amazing. The clouds and the sunset peeking through them illuminated the sky and the city. I was not carrying the tripod. I had to capture the scene at a high ISO which created noise in the output. Nevertheless the results were pretty satisfying ‪#‎Urbanscape‬ ‪#‎Canon‬

Here is my view of the solar system thus far! I am seeking to improve the planetary image quality using the ASI290MC camera this year, we’ll see. Mercury and Pluto are mere dots in this image, I have not had the opportunity to put my scope on Mercury yet. Most of the images are from 2016, the Venus image was from this year.

This nextup round were getting posh! match jess in wearing one of these 50 designs. each play is 50L Next up is a amazing event that uses legal systems to show you the next random 3 items! there's also a option of fatpack if you dont want to play the system!

Daily demonstrations of the mothers of handicapped children under the motto “System kills”. The demonstrations were going on for a month till one of the vice-premiers of the government was not forced to resign due to his impudent and unacceptable behavior. This ocured before ‘yellow wests’ demonstrations got started in France. The kids on the image are handicapped. At the background of the image is the Party house of the Bulgarian Communist Party. These desert trees have long root systems that seek out any available water. With erosion taking away the soil cover, this tree will not survive much longer.

A 10% tornado risk day when the SPC maps were out early in the morning on this day. Models had favorable for late afternoon severe storms to erupt right on the Nebraska Kansas Border.

Had been chasing storms past few days and the wear on the body was at hand. With this rare opportunity in 2020, a year of no tubes, we didn't want to miss this tornado event in my backyard if it happened. Sucked up the tiredness and snagged my chase partner in Hastings Nebraska and headed south into North Central Kansas. The prime of the predicted storm zone for that afternoon.

After the first storms initiation, we were watching out west with good development to our west... Mankato Kansas. Everything was moving almost due northeast that afternoon and we thought we could cut north and follow the storm cell that had the most promise of development.

On target and in position to intercept just to the south of Reynolds Nebraska we had our first Tornado of the year. Incredible bands of winds around this tornado was kicking up so much dust that it was almost haboobish.

After this encounter we headed back to the northeast to intercept again then back down to Nebraska Hwy 136 to Beatrice. All in all, we followed that same system till it merged with another cell. We followed the system eastward as the warnings stayed active. We did see a few wall clouds and funnel bases that afternoon but nothing as good as what we caught in Reynolds Nebraska. Not a bad way to end another epic storm chasing day!

A reasonable outcome considering the planet's low elevation from the horizon at the time of capture.

I was unable to capture Europa's impending shadow transit as the Earth's rotation obscured the target with some trees.

Visiting Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T tank engine No. 41313 eases into Horsted Keynes station with a rake of four Metropolitan Railway teak livery carriages during the Bluebell heritage railway’s Branch Line Gala on 16 March 2025.

No. 41313 was built in 1952 by British Railways at Crewe. These tank engines were designed for light branch line duties and were renowned for their adaptability and excellent performance on winding routes on the LMS system and other parts of the British Railways network. No. 41313 worked its entire life across the length of the Southern Region, being based at Exmouth Junction, Three Bridges, Faversham, Barnstaple, Brighton and Eastleigh during its BR career.

The locomotive took part in the gala thanks to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
