All the parts and equipment you need for a switch plate are here. The top plate is on the top left corner, by the spark plug, the bottom plate is at the bottom right, next to the capacitor connector.

Repairing the switch on a Maximat Standard Lathe/Mill. Don't do what I did and just pull everything apart! You need to know the correct orientation for cams on the hex shaft.

Switch is positioned so that it's on the outside of the canister when mounted. You push it forward to switch the lamp on, and back to switch it off (mounted on right hip).

You have no idea how difficult it is to take a picture of this girl not only with her ears pricked, but without her trademark dog tongue lolling out the side of her mouth. Thus, this darker picture instead of the well-lit pretty images with the stone in the background. Ah well.

I don't really know what engine they use here. I think the one in the foreground missing a coupler is their main engine. Everything they switch would be on the other side of the engine so I guess it makes sense. The one in the background had it's front hood taken off, not sure if it's getting work or if they're scrapping it. There's also a white one with it (behind the building) that never moves.

The small, black, 3 pronged box on the track pad ribbon cable is the magnetic reed switch for the lid. Put a magnet up to it and it closes, putting the machine to sleep. Now the relay does the same job, but this is still there. (sorry for the bad quality of the pic, I had to steal it from pbfixit.com as I forgot to take a picture of the cable)
