A wider view of the project at Blended Waxes. The Neenah Sub mainline is photo left with the Oshkosh "siding" on photo right. The excavator was removing old ties from the former track.

The F and the SD45 work the elevator track at Allenton, WI. It was odd to see the bulky-looking F45 traversing the barely visible side track and making subtle switch moves.

For decades, Otter Tail Power used one particular style of switch on its system, and one day I happened across an installation with one switch closed and the other one open, so I decided to get this picture showing the two positions of the operating handle. The left one is the 'open' position while the other is the 'closed' position.

I'd imagine it would be a bit of a pain to operate one of these 'KPF' switches during a winter storm... newer switch designs use a rotating lever, where the sequence is simply unlock, raise lever, rotate, lower lever, and lock.

With the KPF switch, as the rod moves up or down by the handle, it operates a crank that swings the movable side of the switch to the corresponding open or closed position.

This switch has long been discontinued, and the company is starting to replace them with newer models as part of ongoing maintenance.

The Black/White Gal i call șah noir.

The green/pink Clown looks like from Capital City! ^^

The yellow/white Clown is kinda boring to me. But she has the most amazing Eyes ever. Silver Sparkleling Glitter.

Siernna will get a reroot right after i finished Victoria Antique.

It will not be a drastic change.

Just without the white Hair and of course in Saran.

The Maryland Midland's UBHF is switching the lumber distribution facility (NVR) in Thurmont, MD. The crew has a hold of 53 cement loads as they pull four empty lumber cars from the plant. The Midland's Heritage unit leads today's very late running train. The 2060 was formerly numbered 300 before the Genesee & Wyoming company acquired the shortline in 2007. This location was originally a junction point with the Hagerstown & Frederick Interurban line which branched off to the right in this picture and ventured south to Frederick. The Western Maryland's passenger station stood to the left of the mainline about where the fourth and fifth units are. Many pictures were taken here in the '40s and '50s when the H&F and the WM trains regularly met to exchange passengers, mail, and express. October 2, 2017.

A naked, lost & abandoned light switch that had been through the great Brisbane flood and come out worse for wear.
