FJ25
The second-generation Land-Cruiser, the so called 20 Series, was released in November 1955. This is the first ever imported Land-Cruiser in Europe which introduction took place at the Barcelona Motorshow in Spain during 1958. The Toyota Land-Cruiser was originally called "Toyota Jeep" and appeared for the first time in 1941. In 1954 it was renamed to : "Land-Cruiser" as the name 'Jeep' had already been registered by Willys-Overland. It had an in-line six-cylinder 3.386 cc (Type B) engine at first, but was later replaced by a more powerful 3.878 cc Type F engine.
With the second-generation model, the Land-Cruiser began to be exported to North America and other overseas markets in large volume. In 1960 this model FJ25 received a total make-over and was replaced by the 'FJ40' Series.
