I'm not sure of the species of this tree but this is it's natural colour. It so reminded me of autumn despite being the middle of summer.
Not sure what these are.. but bluebells are in the bokeh..
Possibly 'coral bells'.. 'heuchera.... thanks to.. Roxanne
HBW.. have a super day.. thanks for popping in..
Not sure about posting this, similar to previous shots
Having said that we will probably visit this beach in Florida at least once a year, to visit our grand daughter Adeline
Therefore cannot promise it will be the last, but the sky will be different
Not sure what this one is. It is the first to flower in the wild flower borders but all of the seeds I put in last year were from the USA.
If anyone knows the flower I would be happy to have it named.
Thanks to Robert Combes and Viv in helping name this flower.
I wasn't sure if there was a collective noun for umbrellas so was delighted when Madame Google gave me 'phalanx' to my query. This was seen during a walkabout in Nice. Obviously I absolutely love the riot of colour.
This is the picture I really want to use for the MM theme of mesh for 3/7. Took it using the camera2+ app and I’m not sure the EXIF data will come over with it. Took a screenshot of what is there to see, just in case it doesn’t carry over…..
( a little later) oh, goodie, it did come with!!
This is a white mesh ribbon over the fiber optic Christmas lights. The ribbon is 13/16th of an inch.
…….💙💛HMM💛💙
Not sure how I got this effect. Probably just due to sunlight hitting my camera lens. It definitely was not raining and the sprinkler was not on.
Enjoy your day and week and stay safe
Not sure what this small colourful bloom is.. on a shrub.. EDIT: I just saw it on Flickr.. it is a type of 'Shrub Verbenas'.. ' Lantana'..
HBW.. Have a great day.. thanks for stopping by
I am sure, you have met today some people with hanging head and corners of their mouths. But what will happen when they notice what is on infront of their doors? You have only to do one thing: Open your eyes and your heart.
Have a nice evening!

**** I am pretty sure this is a Male Reed Bunting . They are about the same size as a sparrow and quite attractive birds. This was taken On Midsummers day 2018 in the trees that lead to the cliffs at RSPB Bempton in East Yorkshire
THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH.
ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED
I'm sure anyone who's ever been to Scotland has seen a picture of this mountain - it's in practically every tourist shop on postcards etc. Unfortunately I didn't have the time or the weather to really wait for the light so this is the best I could do.
If you be the cash
I'll be the rubber band
You be the match
I will be a fuse, boom
Painter, baby, you could be the muse
I'm the reporter, baby, you could be the news
'Cause you're the cigarette and I'm the smoker
We raise a bet 'cause you're the joker
Checked off, you are the chalk
And I can be the blackboard
You can be the talk
And I can be the walk

I don't know what this Red-necked Grebe is transporting, it almost looks like a dirty net of some kind, but it ends up part of the grebe's nest. Makes sense!
Thought I'd give the ole 2X tele a try with the 600 and the new R5. I was curious to see how that combination works together and I think it looks great! What do you think?
Taken 14 June 2021 in Anchorage, Alaska.
HBM!!
Not sure why the tractor is next to the bench but it made an interesting shot. This is from the Salt Lick Restaurant in....wait for it..Driftwood, Texas. Why's it called Driftwood? I don't know. So, researched it and found nothing. There isn't a lake or any kind of water around Driftwood. Another one of life's little mysteries.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great week.
Be sure to zoom in on this photo. I took this picture of the pond behind our house. The actual frame included the opposite shore and the water is reflecting the forest that rises above it. I noticed an unusual quality in the texture of the water and zoomed in to produce this photo. I hope you enjoy the final effect.

for sure it is good to focus on what you want ... but it can be very helpful to take a playful look on the world from a different perspective. 😉

Not sure what kind of critter this kestrel had its eye on, exactly, but whatever it was, this sadly might have been the last thing it witnessed...
The swift sure turn of the body, erratic but light beating of the heart and the tune of the soul singing outwardly. Emotion, intensity and courage are not easily to relay. Each take small steps towards achieving the other. The exciting journey of friendship and love go hand in hand. Just like when you decide you don't want to dance alone anymore.
First, you glide your arms in the air and to the side before reaching your hand with elegance towards your person of choice. Achieving the strength to accept someone into your fold. Sometimes embracing someone blindly in initial movements because the best decisions often come with risks.
Second, you twirl your body closer and closer until you both touch. Allowing intensity of trust to flow between you both. A bond that should never break and requires strong foundation of movement.
Third, you float in sync, turning to give way when needed, each not allowing the other to slip and most of all catching each other in the right moment. Sharing your deepest desires, your inner fears and your dreams.
What a beautiful dance to witness...and experience.
P.S. Sapphypoo wanted to do a ballet photo. It took ages but finally done. Thank you Sapphypoo for the unconditional love and friendship ♡

Nuthatches Shall usually dominate the field whenever present at feeding stations. Maybe not a coconut, but every other nut can be cracked with this beak. Awesome bird!
Not sure if this mushroom is holding on to the twig, afraid of faling down or that it is hungry and trying to eat .......
For some reason it reminds me also of 'Cookie Monster' ;-D
One can find beautiful 'art' outdoor!
Not sure what type of bee this is or the plant it was on, but I did smile when I saw it's little leg as if rubbing it's aching back with all the work! Have a great weekend you lovely folks out there! HSoS

Sure do miss these sprightly little gems right about now... hope they’re having the time of the lives down in the tropics.
Not sure how this road got its name but the sign has been true for a couple of weeks now! Last Friday we had a snow squall pass through the area. Tonight into tomorrow we are experiencing an ice storm with some light snow passing through Friday. I know a lot of the US is experiencing winter weather this weekend. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm!

Not sure what type of Lemur ...a ruffed red ,black & white or mongrel ?? I found this guy at the lemur section in the Cotswold Wildlife Park. Like most lemurs he didn`t keep still for long . Just enough time for me to capture his powerful stare .
Not sure why but I now have several of these green Tree Frogs. Got a shot of one with it's tail too. Size of a nickel they are hard to capture free hand but I really like how this one turned out.
An interesting position this Bald Eagle takes in the air as if a bit curious about what it sees below, i.e. trying to decide what it's going to do next.
Taken 19 February 2020 near Homer, Alaska.

Well, I knew the aliens had arrived, but I didn’t realize they were crossing already. In fact, a little gray alien in a yellow rain slicker is at this crossing twice a day, morning and evening. He has a sign to stop traffic from getting into the landing site. The sign says “watch out for metal that you haven’t even discovered yet falling from the sky.“ under that it says, “Violators will be experimented on!”
Surprisingly, no one has gone beyond this point.
You can occasionally see little gray aliens climbing all over their flying saucer and speaking gibberish to each other. To think people believe they could conquer us. We could just get together a group of people with size 12 and larger shoes to step on them if they cause any trouble.
I wasn't sure if I would get a clear shot of the castle from the top. I wondered if it might have been a drone shot I had seen before and not one taken from the top of the mountain that stands behind the castle. So I was on the third peak by the time I saw this view after a pretty arduous trek over the unbroken wilderness over the tops.
To the left is the estuary where the River Shiel flows out into the sea loch of Loch Moidart which then flows out into the Atlantic Ocean beyond. In the centre is the mid 13th century Castle Tioram on its own island (when the tide is in). Behind it is Eilean Shona, owned by Richard Branson's sister which has 11 luxury holiday rental cottages on it. eileanshona.com/ To the right of the castle is another island, the circular one called Riska. Above and beyond that on the far horizon you can see the tops of the Cuillin mountains in Skye.
Impressive view, eh? In my back yard! I decided I deserved a cold beer when I got home.
Hey, come to Scotland. It's only 16 deg C
Yeah sure thing , stab that dragon with your toothpick! XD At least he has some of that last hope in that katana.
I haven't used a dragon for quite a while now but finally dragging one of the beasties into a scene.
Special one here for Swagga's outfit for FGC!

Not sure about this, definitely not the best composition/focus I've ever achieved - but I like the light and texture of the moss - so decided to upload and see what you think!!
Sure, start on your journey.
But you are so far away...
No, we just took some steps down the road. It's the journey that matters.
I know... but I still want to touch the clouds...
One day... some day...
Don't forget that the journey matters, the moments on the road and the other travelers you'll meet on your journey will define you...
The moments you want to stop and go back but you take one more step... those are the moments that get you closer to the clouds...
One day... some day...
Continued from I see clouds...
