The first thing that caught my eye was the big Argiopes aurantia spider in her classic zipper web. Then I noticed the meal she had packaged up ((upper left corner). And finally I noticed the brave, but cautious, male Argiopes in the lower right corner. I don't know for certain how this story will end, but it's possible there will be one less male spider when all is said and done. These big females are fond of consuming the males as a post-coital snack...

It's a well documented fact that the Little Green Men were obsessed with claws. This particular anti-gravity vehicle was used for moving pieces of scrapped spaceships around a junk yard. It was also used for choosing who would go and who would stay, when somebody had to go to buy lunch.

This little vehicle was totally inspired by a drawing made by Paul Adams for a machine for Jawas. Check out his brilliant artwork on Instagram or on Artstation.

There is something so comforting to me about objects that evidence the passage of time. Dog-eared old books, rusted pots, moss-covered benches, antique furniture . . . I can feel their warmth, and want to know their stories.

Lost was her story, one she swore to lock away and only keep for herself. Today was the day she would open up and be reminded of what she had locked away...

Shot with the stunner that is Dani, and damn does she suit being a red head! I also got this book from visiting my grandad and looking through his book collection; he collects old photos, which are still inside of people we may never know the identity of. This was such a fun shoot, bringing all these elements together, despite the blizzard-like wind, making us feel like we were in the beginning of The Wizard of Oz! As well as standing on the crown- squashing it flat! I've managed to mould back into somewhat shape but I am so devastated!

Once this was up to date, now it is a ghost that tells the story of a time long past

Today's story and sketch "by me" we are again at "Wonder World" in Sunny South Florida, and you see

Ramon Gofish driving (yes driving a Marscat, non floatation "non anti gravity utility vehicles,

like the one Ramon is driving here at the Star Tours Terrestrial Planets Walkabout).

Ramon has just unloaded another load of Martian red rock and gravel, (yes real Martian Rocks and gravel).

Only genuine materials are used in the Terrestrial Planets Walkabout Park, and there are four sections

in the park, Mars, Mercury, Venus and yes Earth, which are the four planets close to our Sun known as

terrestrial planets, telluric planets, or rocky planets, which are planets composed primarily of silicate rocks or metals, all Within our Solar System which are Earth like, "telluric planet" are derived from Latin words for Earth Terra and Tellus, or Earth like, and all four have canyons, craters, mountains, and may have

volcanoes, which Wonder World at the moment has none, considered much to dangerous for guests walking

through, which did happen once, but was shut down after a dozy of an eruption, but that is a story for another time. The Earth area was easy to construct, Ramon only had to drain an area of swamp, and

remove the Gators, add sand and rocks from different areas of Earth. Mars is still under construction

as are Venus and Mercury, and we will have updates as things progress, until then taa ta the Rod Blog.

Life does not always give you what you want, but living lets you work for it.

On a tour of Addis Ababa, I had to persuade my guide to take me to a local vegetable market: he was surprised that a visitor would be interested, and more surprised when many of the local vegetable-sellers were happy to have their pictures made.

Stories. Under the London sky.

Alien story made for the display "Space Panic" at the french convention Brick à Dole 2017.

No display "Space Panic" without... Panic ^_^

A wink at the mythical movie monster... Alien ! Reinterpretation of some of the cult scenes of Alien movies.

Of course on this display as in space, no one can hear you scream...

I've also written a short story telling the tale of how Elmyra and Verath met each other. You can read it here:

The last few flames of my fire were burning out, and the chills of evening were beginning to settle in.

I wrap my cloak around me, trying to conserve as much heat as I can.

It had been about a week and a half since I’d been banished from Thyalon and my food supply was beginning to run on empty. It was all forests and swamps until the next village and I was beginning to become worried about how it will take to reach it.

I could feel sleep slowly ebbing away at my consciousness and, after doing a cursory check around the vicinity, I let it.

But before I can completely drift off, I notice something. My ears had picked it up first, a slow, controlled breath that mingled with the cool breeze that ruffled the leaves around me. Somebody was here, with me.

I quickly reach for my sword, it was within arm’s reach and I grabbed it easily.

I could feel my heart pumping under my chest, pushing blood all throughout my body so I can run if need be.

And then I see it, a face, looking at me through the trees. The face was reptilian in shape and look. It’s scales were a dark blue and the fire reflected of them as it would a mirror.

It is at this point I realize what this creature was, a dragon!

Yay! Story time before bed time!

A new book I’ve just started reading. Another good book somewhat on this topic that I read about 12 years ago is David R. Loy’s The World is Made of Stories. Of course many other books and articles have also delved into this, from literary critics, psychologists, anthropologists, philosophers, and others. Nearly everyone has ideas about which stories (if any) are mostly true. Disagreement over which stories must be believed drives politics and leads to seemingly endless conflicts. The story line I find most believable in journalism, history, and fiction is debacle, or what literary critics probably call tragedy. Yet survivors keep picking themselves up to play out more similar stories.

This moc represents a scene from the romanian story ,,The bag with two coins" where a rooster finds a pouch with two cois and pass through many adventures to bring the bag to his master.

“More wine son! Don’t be shy, we are celebrating after all!”

It seemed Baron Locklear possessed not the capability for an ‘inside voice’. He was already on his second glass and feeling its effects, although the former northerner showed no outward signs. “The new lands will be ours for the taking soon enough!” Locklear turned to face the visiting councilman Captain Ramsey, who currently held the Baron’s ear in all things New Roawia. “Oh cheer up Ramsey, the our new ally Ivanovich and his pet are just what we needed to turn the tides in our favor.” He guffawed at his obvious pun, and Captain Ramsey humored him a strained smile.

“While I agree with my lord Baron, I feel I must remind you that Lenfald is still colonizing the isles unopposed. As we capture ships, they capture the unknown wealth of the islands,” He sipped from his wine to allow the point to take hold. “I wish to submit my proposal to you once again, we must al---”

“Enough!” Locklear interrupted. His face suddenly cold and commanding. “I am mulling over your plan. Your ability to make the most out of any situation is why you are here enjoying my best vintage and the luxury of my summer home. But do not overstep yourself.” It was the Barons turn to pause for effect. Locklear’s face turned once again to a grin and he barked a hearty--if not heartful--laugh. “Come! Join my family in the garden.”

He led him to the garden with a hand around his shoulders like old friends. Out of the side of his mouth he spoke in a hushed tone to the veteran pirate, “Ill tell you what Ramsey, convince my wife of this plan and we shall talk...”
