Two thousand, six hundred and seventy nine STLs were built by AEC for London Transport between 1932-1946 and this example seen passing Australia House in Trafalgar Square is typical of the type, that is if any bus can be typical when within the class existed so many sub types from petrol engined, diesel engined, crash gearbox, preselective not to mention various body styles.

However it could be said that the STL was THE london bus before the introduction of the RT and later the RM.

Thanks be to God! I graduated 'summa cum laude' on 12th May 2017 with a Pontifical License in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception.

This is a pre-doctoral degree that qualifies and 'licenses' me to teach theology in a Catholic major seminary or similar Catholic institution.

Two friends from Arizona, Rev. Br Athanasius of the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit, and his mother, were happily back in DC so they could come and share in our celebrations at the Dominican House of Studies. After 4 semesters and about 1.5 years in Washington D.C., it's now almost time to head home to the United Kingdom. I've been assigned to our new Rosary Shrine and Parish of St Dominic's in London.

I am grateful to God, to my Province, my family, friends, benefactors and well-wishers for all they have given me in this time of study.

St Dominic, light of the Church, pray for us!

A lone STL rests in the 'new' version of my Princes Park project. The structure is still under construction. It is 3 feet long and 18 inches wide, so is more like a real 1:76 bus garage. Photo taken in low light, so this is an 8 second exposure! Need to move everything outside to get better focus!
