Stapleton Airport served as the main airport for Denver from 1929 until 1995 when it closed. The area is now a planned community with green areas and different types of housing. Very little of the airport remains as recognizable but the control tower sits empty awaiting its fate. The full moon is rising behind. To see what this area looked like when the airport was operational check this out
I know a lot of people create these with every MOC they made in the year, but I decided to showcase some of the highlights (also because some MOCs are in a thousand pieces and have no photos of them). 2014 was a crazy year! I don’t remember the last time I produced this many MOCs and artworks, and I’m really proud of what I’ve done. In the past 12 months I:
-Took 3rd place in Art of Craft’s LEGO contest
-Cosplayed as Wyldstyle a LOT (Elizabeth Banks posted about me on her website and that was SO COOL)
-Spent a ton of time drawing and building MOCs with a bunch extremely excited preschoolers
-Spent even more time drawing and painting LEGO things
-Won best music MOC at Bricks Cascade
-Raised $2,000 for BrickFair, VA’s charity auction with my first Benny painting
-Won BrickFair VA’s Batman’s 75th trophy and was a semifinalist in ReBrick’s Batman’s 75th contest
-Met a ton of really awesome people in the LEGO and AFOL community
-Won a Friday Night Fights on the Brothers Brick with my Batman MOC
-Traveled to New York Comic Con for the return of Bionicle and got to hang out with the Bionicle team (they rock!)
-Sold a painting for Creations for Charity
-Acquired one square foot of a private island called Hawaii 2 (thanks, Cards Against Humanity)
-Took a leap and applied for a model shop job at LEGOLAND, CA, and got it!
2015 starts for me with a feature in the January Brick Journal (thanks, Joe Meno!), and a move down to California to start a new job as a model shop assistant in LEGOLAND, CA! I'm really excited to see what this year brings.

All that remains of the old Denver Stapleton Airport is the tower, standing in an otherwise vacant patch in a residential area.
My long time chum and last Friday's partner in crime "Stapleton Road" strikes a pose at Cranmore on our journey home from Wiltshire.
Actually not my living room, but a sample of the interior photography I occasionally do. The designer's address is www.priscillacornell.com

[This album contains 7 photos[ One of the most interesting sights in Lynchburg, Virginia is City Cemetery where a variety of displays are found, including a rail depot (from Stapleton, Virginia), a small medical museum, a dovecote, and a large water pitcher among others.
The structure is essentially of side gable style with a front bay that was probably the ticket window. Slender brackets support the overhanging roof. The end gables and front bay contain decorative millwork. Board-and-batten exterior walls are used on the end gables as well. Windows and doors are generally narrow. A simple chimney tops the building.
The sign at the Stapleton station reads as follows: "This Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Station was in use at Stapleton in Amherst County, Virginia, from 1898 until 1937. It is the only remaining C&O 'Standard Station' of its size and style.
In 1999-2001 the badly-deteriorated Station was dismantled board-by-board and reconstructed here to interpret the importance of railroads in the history of Lynchburg. Through employment, war, and accident, thousands of people buried in this cemetery lived and died by the railroad.
The furnishings and instruments in the Station Agent, Passenger, and Baggage Rooms are typical of the World War I era."

820 powers away from a signal check with I believe a Glasgow to Penzance service. 820 which was renumbered in the previous year from 665 became 47785 in 1995 and eventually preserved, however, as of 6 years ago was in quite a poor state, 25th May 1990.

...in which Stapleton and some M8s attempt to corral a bunch of loose space critters. Why Stapleton decided to request assistance from limbless droids is anyone's guess.
On a related note, did anyone watch Battlestar Galactica yet? I thought the season ender was a WTF moment. The whole show has now gone completely bonkers. FM me if you think you can even come close to explaining what the hell is going on.
DON'T post it here. People hate spoilers, and I will delete, then probably block your dumb ass.
