Another one from my staple shoot a few weeks ago. I keep going through these images and I keep finding ones I really like. This is another one of my new found favourites.

Who does not need staples! They may not be as popular as they once were, since we tend to avoid printing documents, but they prove useful when necessary.
For my picture I used different types of staples to create a “staple city”. It’s a pretty cold world out there! Everything is made of steel. The tallest “building” is 1 7/8” tall.
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments
BNSF 1833 takes hold of a monster H-NTWGFD through downtown Staples, MN on a perfect summer afternoon. The 645's hummed down to idle to pass through the 30 mph limited town.
The less scenic view of the Somerset village of Staple Fitzpaine (population 189). Under an ominous sky, looking south, on the mud covered Staple Hill road.

I wasn't really satisfied with my other similar shots. I like this one the best.
It snowed last night and it's a muddy mess outside, so I'm stuck inside playing with my camera. Believe it or not, I learn quite a bit by doing these setups and processing.... and camera controls to boot. Oh well

When a puffin returns home with fish to feed the nippers, it's at a whole new level of panic, running the gauntlet of predatory birds trying to steal the catch. It flies so much faster than when its without sand-eels.
Staple Island, Farnes, Northumberland.
The marsh duck is the staple of the wildlife at the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge. As many species had dwindling numbers in those years leading up to the signing of the Endangered Species Act, the marsh duck was mostly the sole resident here. I remind all that even Canada Geese were uncommon here. When we played pick-up football in the Michigan autumns, play would stop when geese flew over. Some would congregate here.
Coal empties roll west of Motley ending its run on the BNSF Brainerd Subdivision quickly approaching Staples. This train originated from the Minnesota Power Boswell Energy Center in Cohasset, Minnesota and is heading to the North Antelope Mine in Wyoming's Powder River Basin. It may be April 22nd, but it was a strong reprise of winter.
