The Stairway to Heaven, or Hai'ku Stairs more accurately, starts underneath the H-3 expressway.
A 4 AM start as I had to fly out the same day, Red Bull is myyyyy friieeenndd.
Naming this stairway to Heaven would've been a platitude, so I searched my iTunes libryary and ironically have chosen Led Zeppelin again.
The same view as in this photo but with a little daylight added.

This is a picture I took during my hike up the Moanalua Middle Ridge Trail located on the beautiful island of Oahu. You can read more about my hike at the link.
I was in the Jewellery Quarter today and I just love Warstone Cemetery. It was a dull day with lots of rain but I caught this shot of stone steps leading upwards. It gives a sense of purpose as the path leads upwards.
Walking last year in Lavender Bay (near Luna Park) in Sydney we came across these stairs and a railing made out of natural and man-made products, leading to a very old Moreton Bay Fig tree. I felt very spiritual and thought of the song "Stairway to Heaven".
New growth (liko) unfolding. I'd like to say it's my favorite ohia but I can't ever really choose.

Stairway to Heaven
The "Stairway to Heaven" monument to the victims of the Bethnal Green Tube Disaster in Bethnal Green Gardens.
On my way back to my room, I stumbled upon a quiet jam session that was rocking the end of "Stairway to Heaven." Brilliant! I just wish I'd had the patience to bust out the Gorillapod to get some more stable shots as I was too tired to hold the camera still enough to avoid needing the flash.
You many or may not be able to make out the old rusted stairs on the other side of the valley.

Unveiled in December 2017, this is the memorial to the 173 people who died in Bethnal Green Underground station on 3rd March 1943 while the station was being used as an air raid shelter. The accident was caused by a crush as people rushed down the 18 steps to get into the station.
The memorial was designed by Harry Patticas and Jens Borstlemann of Arboreal Architecture and is called the Stairway to Heaven memorial. It is a full size replica in teak of the stairway down which the victims fell, and has 173 small openings in its top panel through which daylight can be seen from beneath.
That homeless man just came out from the church and sat down on the stairs while I was messing around with my pinhole camera, so finally he has been recorded on the shot.
Taken with my homemade 6x6 medium format pinhole camera on 10th Anniversary Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day (25.04.2010).
