No.1 Croydon office block (formerly called NLA Tower, but also nicknamed the 50p building because of its multi-sided shape).

Designed in a brutalist style by architect Richard Seifert & Partners and completed in 1970.

Elegug Stacks – The immense Elegug Stacks catching the encroaching shadows cast by the early evening sunshine on a summer's day.

Also known as Stack Rocks, it's hard to really appreciate the scale of these two dramatic carboniferous limestone sea pillars from the cliff edge, even though they are some 150 feet high. Located on the on the dramatic and remote south west tip of Wales and are accessible only at certain times across the MOD Castlemartin military range.

The calm summer conditions and long exposure really drew out the colours of this breathtaking coastal scene.

Maybe a glitch in the matrix 😉

Struggled with this one for some reason .. finally got it 'right' enough to leave it alone.

I waited at this spot on the Chattooga River until dark hoping a colorful sunset would emerge but the sky just turned gray instead, This image was made about 1/2 hour before sunset when the setting sun illuminated the underside of the clouds, casting a golden light on the water. I got a nice 2 hour hike in the dark back to my truck, but a lovely day on the river, so worth it.

I know this is similar to the previous shot from this location, however I thought it might be of interest as a comparison. This shot has been put together using a free star stacking program called Sequator, it is the first time I have used it and I am quite impressed. The other shot is done from a single image and it is interesting to see the difference in noise.

This was only stacked using 4 images as I was not shooting with the program in mind but it will quite happily stack 20 images.

This is 4x 20sec exposures @ f4 ISO6400

The last few days I've become obsessed trying to get better images of this guy. Fortunately he's (They) are fairly cooperative. Focus stacked using OM-1 Mark ii and Olympus 60mm macro, Godox 350 flash and an AK Diffuser hand-held..

We tend search for horizontality in everything, yet sometimes there’s vertical or diagonal dimension, that enriches one’s mind.

It’s a focus stack of a stack of turtles. 4 images total.

The Pyramids at the Musée du Louvre in Paris/France on a cloudy day.

South Stack is set in a spectacular location a few miles to the north-west of Holyhead, it was completed in 1809.

An early morning shot with some nice clear conditions just before the inevitable rain started for the day, the oncoming rain meant plenty of moving clouds to use, a 2 minute exposure time streaking them right across the scene.

An alternate take on a previous post. Taken in the Plaza San Nicolas…the cathedral now want to charge 5€ to get in so, as I’m incredibly tightfisted, I decided to shoot this stack instead…for free.

The air quality in Colorado right now (particularly the Denver metro area) is some of the worst in the entire world due to all the wildfires during in California, Utah, and Oregon. It has been particularly bad the last few days. This is an image of the Estes Valley from Rainbow Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park at sunrise yesterday...nothing but stacked hills for miles and miles. Normally, you can see the entire valley, including town, the lake, and nearby mountains. Hoping and praying for some relief out west...and hoping we get a reprieve from all this smoke and haze soon.

Have a great week!
