South Stack Lighthouse is built on the summit of a small island off the north-west coast of Holy Island, Anglesey, Wales. It was built in 1809 to warn ships of the dangerous rocks below.
The 91-foot (28 m)-tall lighthouse on South Stack was designed by Daniel Alexander and the main light is visible to passing vessels for 24 nmi (44 km; 28 mi), and was designed to allow safe passage for ships on the treacherous Dublin–Holyhead–Liverpool sea route. It provides the first beacon along the northern coast of Anglesey for east-bound ships.
Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse and tour the engine room and exhibition area. The lighthouse is open seasonally at the bottom of a 400 step path!
Used focus stacking to get the depth of field required for sharp focus from the tip of the stamen to the petals at the base of the flower (the second lily image highlights the challenge - depth of field required around 100mm - depth of field from my 180mm Macro about 5 mm), This required 12 stacked images to achieve the desired result.
The Second Beer stack we ever made. Dave's face isn't smiling cos he is impressed at the stack - he is impressed that he managed to drink that much.......

Here is the finished chair, fully stacked. I'm too lazy to count the number of layers... but there are a lot.
Or wait, let's use math. It's 14" thick, and each layer of cardboard is about 1/8" thick... so that's approximately 112 layers. Jeesh!
