Stack of few.

Stacked on a nightstand, they create an impromptu bookshelf.

Stack of 20 Images....

I shot this with my Pentax K200D using a bellows with a reversed 50mm lens. The Bellows was extended about 3/4 of the way, and the aperture was set to f/11 or so. I finally took John Abbott's advice and used a tripod for a macro shot. In the case of a patient (or asleep) subject, it works wonders! I was able to snap over 40 pictures of this guy -- including a series with minor focal adjustments -- 20 of which contribute to this image. There is a fair amount of artifacting going on here, but considering this is my first stack of more that 4 pictures, and that I did the alignment and focus stack all manually, I think it turned out okay.

Stacking technique, this time with a bit more movement in the clouds and blades of the turbine.

Seeing all of the great Swoon blocks and the work that "applekrisp" is doing with the blocks

made me want to play around with some stacks and make an extended block. I laid out some of my precuts in the orange floral and I wonder if I could get this pieced together! I'm going to try some things in the green fabric and see how it goes.

The Asarco smokestacks, idle for years, were the tallest in Texas. They had been for decades an El Paso landmark. The one at left was 612 feet (184 m) tall and the one at right, further away, was 828 feet (248 m) tall.

Both stacks were demolished with explosives on April 13, 2013. View from the entrance to the Asarco site.

A stack n whack quilt my aunt and I worked on.

I saw the Costa chairs on my walk around and thought a BW conversion would work. I wouldn't manipulate film to look like this or shoot this look originally on film but I don't worry about pushing it around in digital. I used capture One v7.

This is the artistic chimney stack on one of the houses on the Holkham Hall Estate in the UK (North Norfolk). This estate belongs to the Earl of Leicester.

I gave it the black and white look just to add to my various B&W photo's. In colour it is of course made of rich reds and browns in the bricks with the terracotta pots on the top.

Digging through by Ste. Claire archives and posting a few shots from a couple of years ago.

This is standing atop the Ste. Claire and her stacks and the Columbia in the background.

I wish I had some updates on the progress of her restoration, but sadly, things have come to a standstill for months now.

Chasing meteors with a full moon and cloud cover isn't ideal. But you get interesting results...
