It's spring and it's time to walk out~

Credits.

I've been wanting to try this shot for a long time. This simple idea was SO tough to execute. My success rate in timing the droplet was only about 1-in-10. Each time I got a shot with a drop in it, I then had to chimp the image and adjust the flower position to improve the focus of the flower in the droplet. As you can imagine, It ended up taking quite lot of shots to produce just a few keepers.

Lighting was a single bare flash from camera right.

Taken for the Strobist Sundays theme "spring flowers" and the Macro Mondays theme "wet".

Spring is here... or well, spring was here several weeks ago when this picture was taken. Mom made me feel guilty for taking pictures of cherry blossoms in High Park but not our own magnolias in our backyard, but by now, i'm pretty sure they have wilted away.

Secret #26:  10 years ago, i loved the rain. i loved the way the droplets fell on my floor to ceiling windows when it was heavy, and i would push back the drapes and enjoy the view. Today, i prefer sunshine.

Lots of crocus, daffodils, snow drops, etc showing up. Spring is here, although cooler than normal lately.

Spring is here! There's no better way to enjoy the warm rays of the sun than reading outside and breathing some fresh air! Of course, you still have to dress so as not to catch a cold!

This little figurine is roughly 2” tall (sitting! 😉) and it sits on two river stones about ¼” thick each.

Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments

Is there anything more beautiful than the colors of spring. The reality looks currently still different. The weather here in Berlin unfortunately still gray in gray. What the heck I still have some shots from last year, this would be here so one.

Szpak to mądry ptak...

Spring is here, and indeed the clocks move onto British Summer Time this weekend, and these fields should be full of sheep cropping lush grass in expectation of their new arrivals... but Mother Nature has other ideas. The land is still gripped by snow, and the waves of cornices on the horizon threaten to break over the fields and maintain winter's grip. Even the sunlit sky offers no hint of warmth or comfort.

About a week or so ago I met up with the wild flower whisperer, "Jojo " and [https://www.flickr.com/photos/rootswalker/] for a wild flower rendezvous in San Luis Obispo County.

I started my trip in Yosemite earlier that day chasing snow and waited for 5 hours in the freezing weather for some magic but to no avail. So said the heck with it and left Yosemite in the middle of the night and drove another 4 plus hours south to make it in time to meet up with these guys for a day of wild flower hunting.

We were definitely blessed with beautiful cottonball cumulus clouds all day and night contrasty light!

Thanks again Jojo!
