I darkened the girls jerseys (the uniform's shorts were too bright), desaturated their skin to make it more real, isolated the background, dimmed it, Gaussian blurred it, and made it black and white. After all that work, I hope this one sells!
A shot of some random dudes (who were much better skiers than me) dropping a little cornice on the way up to Silverton's iconic Billboard. One helluva playground!

Time to start uploading all of my shots from 2009 that aren't up yet, which is a lot! I'll start with this...Elise on the highway heading from Cannes to Monaco. Saw a Bianco Isis LP640 flying the other way shortly before this. Love how the lane is all empty in front of the Lotus here.
Daarna kon het lange wachten op de staalrollentrein beginnen. Dus werd er rustig naar de oude losplaats gegaan en een beetje rondgekeken hoe en waar je precies kon staan. Nog voor we echt wisten hoe we de foto's hier wilde maken kwam de zwaar in de min rijdende staalrollentrein al door het station van Engis gereden met de SNCF 186 186 en 186 184 aan kop.
The Super Bowl is in a few hours and I don't even know which teams are playing. But that didn't stop me from going to the store and buying a bunch of burgers, brats, chips/dip, salsa, buns, drinks and other health-challenged items which help in watching a bunch of commercials interrupted by a football game. (I even have my 3-D glasses)
I used to be a HUGE sports fan, but now since players move from team to team every couple of years, it's really hard to get behind a single team. What happened to the old days when you got drafted to play for a team, you stuck it out with that team until you retire? Besides Kobe and a select few others, who else has done that? It's all a business and there is no more team spirit. With all the football pools and the other games which hinge upon a players individual statistics, I just have a hard time watching team sports.
Bring on the tennis and golf!

De spoorlijn van Zwolle naar Kampen is het kortste spoorlijntje (voor reizigers) van Nederland en bestaat dit jaar 150 jaar. Ook hier staat de tijd echter niet stil want in 2017 zal de spoorlijn niet langer meer door de NS geëxploiteerd worden maar door Syntus. Tevens wordt de lijn geëlektrificeerd en zal de weidse blik in de polder Mastenbroek daardoor verleden tijd zijn.
The railway line from Zwolle to Kampen (with nickname 'Kamperlijntje') is the shortest branch line for passengers in The Netherlands and is this year 150 years old. As from 2017 the train operator will change from NS (Dutch national railways) into the private operator Syntus. Moreover, the line will be electrified which will make the view on the typical Dutch landscape less attractive.
